This includes Pinot Noir and Chardonnay
These are the most versatile wines And won’t scare people off
Pinot Noir:
- Said to have originated in the Burgundy region of France
- Medium bold, medium-bodied, medium tannins, and medium acidity
- Main flavors include cherry, raspberry, plum, clove, and mushroom
- Why is it a top wine to have in your wine cabinet or wine fridge?
- This is often considered in of the world's most popular light-bodied red wine
- The soft tannins appeal to people who prefer white wine
- However, this wine still contains tannins which Should appeal to red wine drinkers

Chardonnay:
- Originated in a small village of France known as Chardonnay
- Chardonnay’s have flavors of vanilla and butter
- Has tropical flavors from warmer climates and citrus flavors from cooler climates
- Medium dry, bold, medium acidity
- Bolder, but doesn’t have the tannins of red wine, but still has a bold flavor that pairs with most dishes

- Chardonnay is one of the most popular wines in the US
- Chardonnay is bold which appeals to most red wine drinkers
- However, it does not contain tannins which makes it less dry than most red wine
So, again, the best wines to have in case of a wine emergency are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. They are both versatile wines that good with a variety of foods and appeal to a variety of palates.
