Thanks so much for the clear, easy instructional video. I was able to fix my Maytag Atlantis gas dryer with replacing both valve coils. Regardless, it's always a good idea to vacuum inside the dryer as well as clean the lint in the vent from inside the house to outside.

It's a good thing for you Bro and your video. I watched several, but by identifying my body by model I was able to see your opening picture post to identify my front panel and equipment. This was great because my dryer was in a tight space. Luckily everything is reachable from the front. It saved allot of unnecessary work. Thank you! Aloha, Paul

Followed all of the troubleshooting steps and the issue for me was the gas valve coil. While I had the front open I was able to clean out all the loose lint and completed repaired in about 45 minutes.

Just bought the lint he's set. I'll share with my friends. Golf the rear Lent catch . Found two components bed and back. Need to Ohm out the coil, itself.

Vent is clear. Replaced the coils with OEM coils. Replaced the igniter. All other components test ok for continuity and still I get no ignition. No flame at all. And yes, the propane tanks are full and the valve in the "open" position. My kitchen stove works ok from the same tanks. Any other suggestions?

50 years of keeping 4 famalies operating never had a bad coil but tons of lint jam and the blower jamed so it does not move enough air if your machine is not in basement call a sweep to clean old maytags turn off some newer ones can catch fire

Hi there, I have this exact model and have been able to keep it running through the years by using the multimeter on each part until I find the problem...until now. The igniter kicks on and the flame lights 2-3 minutes. The next igniter cycle it will light for maybe 20 seconds or not at all which would lead me to believe it's the coils. However the 2 and 3 prong coil both test fine. My exhaust is blowing normal so I don't think it's a lint buildup. Could these coils be failing even though they are reading on the multimeter. Thanks

Replaced thermal switch, igniter and gas coils- but still no flame. Any ideas?

Thanks Mike, It might be the flame sensor which is located on the left side of the burner tube and looks like about the size of a cigarette lighter. You can check to make sure that that has continuity using a multi-tester if it doesn’t have continuity that’s the cause of your problem.

Everything tested ok, Vent tube is clean. I bought new coils and installed. The flame only stays lit for about 12 seconds and goes out. Any suggestions?

Mine has no flame when turned on and running when apart. I held the button to make it run. All devices in the dryer have continuity that I can tell have any ideas ? Ignitor and heating coils?

SAFETY PRECAUTION Turn gas supply off to dryer, some models you unscrew the coil bracket causes gasket to separate. Never use soft foil venting on any dryer no matter what the salesperson at the store says. Follow installation guide!

The igniter always lights the fire the first time, stays on for couple minutes, then fire is out. Couple minutes later I see the igniter light up but no fire started. Is this a symptom that the coils are bad (but seems to always work the first time dryer is started), or a bad sensor failing to tell the coils to let gas through?

Could be a bad igniter.
