"Quilt As You Go" is a fun process that allows you to easily create quilts or quilt your blocks in sections.
This has been one of the most popular classes in our quilt shop. Since we're not doing in shop classes right now, we've done a video for you. And it's free!
With this method, when you are done, you're done! No layering, basting, quilting and binding of your whole quilt top. You cut, layer and quilt in small, manageable sections.
We show you the step by step process, close up, with full explanations of each step along the way.

I am amazed at the transformation of that butterfly panel. I have a piece of fabric with a larger image that I want to fussy cut, but didn't know how to tie such a large square back into a quilt. Now I am inspired. Thank you so much!

Thank You so much for this exceptional detailed tutorial on QAYG- I have recently been inspired to making quilts but since I have a very small area to work in, and I saw a few people doing this technique, I felt like this would be the perfect solution for Me. I have saved this video so I can easily access it time and time again. So far, this is the best version and video of QAYG that I have found. Maria Rodriguez - Pearland , Texas I am a quilter and I often wondered how to do a "Quilt As You Go" quilt. I have a domestic sewing machine. The center space of the sewing machine is not large enough to do a large quilting piece . Thank you for your demonstrations for "Quilt as you go", it opened a new way to do my quilting. The way you gave the instructions were very simple to follow. I am going to enjoy this new way and also show my niece how to make a large quilt. My first project on (QAYG) will be a six patch quilt.

Another Texan to tell you this is the best tutorial I have watched on QAYG!! I'm working on my first very challenging quilt with 16 half square blocks per 10 inch block and 100 total blocks in the quilt. Never did such a tough one before and fully realized from the beginning that standard the full quilt in the machine for quilting was not gonna work! Thank you SO much for an excellent explanation and demonstration. I feel confident now and will be watching everything you record from now on!

Your instruction gives me some general guidelines that I can now take and use to design something I want to make. I found the different samples that you showed at the end to be very helpful; also the clear explanation of the sashing being one color versus many on the front or on the back. Impressive work.

I have arthritis and after making the first two quilts for my husband and myself my hands just say no to the old fashioned quilting method. Again, thank you and I will be following!

I just subscribed to your channel. Thank you for making QAYG easier. One quilter had you bring batting to back then sew sashing down this was a lot of work…before watching your program I started sewing a string quilt for my granddaughter….wish I could finish this quilt with the easier way

this was an amazing video and i learned so much. I am making a quilt for my grandson using this technique. The demonstrations was wonderful and I was able to follow along and picked this up quickly. I would like to do a border and binding for my quilt but I hope you have more videos as I really enjoyed this tutorial very much. Well done!

I never would have thought of "reversing" the pattern by putting the smaller pieces on the back so the sashjng would have shown on the back. Very clever! Thank you for your good instructional video.
