Today more exercises that will help you in quilting the feather that you want to quilt. First exercise is a warm-up, a gentle arch. The other two are circles of different radii. The exercise #4 is a traditional question mark shape. And at the end we will try a meander. Let’s quilt together!
I also added some nice music @liborioconti . It is relaxing, meditative and it is similar to the music I listen to when I quilt. I hope you like it 😊

This is the best feather demonstration I’ve seen. With the background music I’ll likely be doing feathers in my sleep. Thank you so much for this video. Will likely refer to it many times.

Thank you again, I like the 'imperfect' plums better than the perfect ones.

Me too! Perfection means end of line, no more development. And I like to move forward and learn new things...

Thank you! I was also very pleased with the result❤❤❤. I noticed, smaller the circle, more challenging it gets, but they were fun

@@quiltingnerd this was a great series. I do have a question. Why is only half of a feather created to start with? Is it easier to get the next feather down to the spine better?
@quiltingnerd
@quiltingnerd Жыл бұрын
@@TheJAG1357 You can quilt a whole feather. When I quilt it on a quilt I start at a seam so I quilt only half a feather. For a wreath, then I can join them better. Otherwise, there is no good reason, just a habit... A whole plum will give the free standing feather a more complete look, definitely.

The good thing I have found with this method is if you quilt a plume that’s not round enough, you can round it when you back track over it and it still looks great.
