Never quit a job like this, and I probably won't ever quit a job like this again. Corporate retail sucks, and when your managers are assholes, it just sucks that much more.

I worked at a KFC just a mile away from my home, I had a very good reputation for being a very good worker there despite me being very new, and almost every customer appreciates my efforts, and respects me, some customers that I dealt with were a$$holes and handled their orders with ease as well as patience despite my lack of sleep and bad mental health. But sadly none of my superiors ( especially one of the supervisors who acts like she owns the franchise) appreciated that, me being a new worker and learning the menu, and trying to be as competitive with the drive-thru time never seemed to make them treat me with a crumb of respect (not to mention the shit hours they had given me) everybody at work was my friend and greeted me, and respected me except for them. One night… I made an error at the drive-thru(we’re humans you know) and my manager went off Infront of the customer. And I just took my KFC shirt and hat off, and threw it in the trash bin right in front of him… no words said. Not going to work for a place that doesn’t respects me and my time.

I worked at Sears for 5 years and I can confirm that when the manager said “your hours are based upon your performance” which is unfortunately true because they will not schedule you if you do not get credit card applications or make your sales quotas. What was even more messed up was just like this store, our store was always dead so there were no customers to even make our credit card/sales goals. That’s what caused a lot of employees to do unethical acts like applying for credit cards under someone else’s social because their bosses were threatening to cut their hours if they didn’t make their goal. Your “performance” was literally how many credit card applications you can get per day. Thank god Sears is finally bankrupt.

I agree, I cant wear open toed or mesh shoes as a barista because I work with boiling hot water and it's a perfectly legit rule. If he falls and hurts himself and Sues, the managers lose their jobs
@FyerBear4 жыл бұрын
@@ArroyoAirsoft Yeah that's not how that works at all lmao. Idk how people still get by assuming that court just doesn't exist and that people that sue for liability always win. That's just some bullshit you're told to keep them from wasting time going to court to defend against something that is clearly not their fault. Imagine walking into a courtroom and being like "Nobody told me not to make poor decisions, so I'm not legally responsible to!" and expecting that to fly.
