The logic behind the beer glasses with the drinking statistics is simple: The glass on the left is mostly empty because "I drank more", the glass for "I drank less" is mostly full because of that, the "about the same" glass is half full and the "I don't drink" glass is completely full because, well, they just didn't drink.
