Jill’s story is the very definition of “hoisted by your own petard”. Instead of swallowing her pride at her dressing down she tried to get the victim of her gossip fired 🤦🏾‍♀️.

That was gold! All Jill had to do was leave her alone, but apparently that is way too hard for some people. To even try to get her fired AFTER she corrected her on her medical situation is as shallow as it gets.

Thank God Jill got fired. Having to go through a bi mastectomy, with such awful scaring is such an awful experience. Why do people never put themselves into others shoes before feeling the need to insult/berate/belittle others? I had to go through surgery to remove parts of my intestines, and the pain, emotional and physical throughout and after is life changing. I can't even imagine a surgery to take away part of your image, and I felt like I was tearing up when she said she felt sick looking at herself in the mirror. How can people have so little empathy? Everyone should help each other through. Life is hard and can be so so cruel and unfair. I hope OP has an amazing rest of her life, and I wish that everyone going through hard times as well, have an amazing life, you deserve it.

My grandpa used to accidentally park in the disabled place a few years ago because my grandmother could not walk (without the help of crutches) and he was so used to pulling in there. I’d always feel guilty, but I felt if I mentioned it, it’d make him burst into tears. I used to work at a movie theater when I was 18. I was mainly an usher but also switched between other stations like concessions, podium, and theater checker. While it got taxing and exhausting at time it was such a nice place to work and I loved my coworkers, that was until Aaron came along. He was nice at first, he complimented my phone case, would make small talk, etc.. and I didn’t mind talking with him as we got along well. Not too long after we hired a 17 year old and she told me how he had made sexual comments to them alluding to wanting to go have sex in his car. He was almost 20 and they had JUST turned 17. I also found out that he would make sexual comments to guys about female coworkers, would yell at customers, and try and switch with me to do women’s bathroom checks. He was even caught staring at my butt as I walked away by a supervisor not taking his eyes off me until I was out of sight. Long story short many complained, he was talked to but wasn’t fired and I quit not too long after, being uncomfortable there.

First story hit pretty close. My parents were part of the South Florida area that was hit by Hurricane Andrew. When they got out of the closet they were hiding in with their dog, only the closet they were in was left standing. Everything else they had was gone. They were among the homeless in the aftermath. It was during a time before my older sister was born, so mom was pregnant. Why yes, she's traumatized by storms after that fact. Didn't help that she chose to live in North Texas, which is part of the tornado alley. Every thunderstorm or supercell that rolled in, she'd freak out and lash out verbally aggressive because she couldn't figure out a healthy way of coping besides screaming at everyone. *shrug*
