Go now - Great song, but no mention about the original artist Bessie Banks. Look for it and have a listen to Bessie sing it, then you will know why Denny wanted to record it.
@paulpetock28363 жыл бұрын
No one would remember Bessie Banks if Denny did not have a hit with both the MB and Wings with this , except Larry Banks . Did the Beatles credit the Cookies , Barret Strong or the Shirelles for their early hits ? How about Santana with Peter Green ? The nature of the business .

That song sounds like a J Lennon composition.

I do not understand! The Paul McCartney who was a founding member of the Beatles died in 1966; quite a time before Jimi Hendrix appeared on the UK music scene!!
@paulpetock28363 жыл бұрын
Paul met Jimi H in 1965 when he was a studio musican using the name Jimmy James . Jimmy backed up Joey Dee and many others .

@@paulpetock2836 Jimi also played with Little Richard when the Beatles opened for him in England in 1962. Billy Preston was playing keyboards for Little Richard at that time, and that began his relationship with the Beatles.

Luckiest man in the business. He seems to have claimed Go now as his own.. Ho hum.
@paulpetock28363 жыл бұрын
Larry Banks was the Luckiest man . The song only went to 40 on the R@B charts with little action on the Billboard pop charts . Denny help make it a hit for both the MB and Wings . Lots of money for Larry Banks . Not sure if his X saw any of it .
