Great idea on the shift light. Now just flat shift it! Right foot flat to the floor and stab the clutch as quick as you can while you Rip the next gear! Don't be afraid to RIP it! Third gear throw your weight into it! Go Girl!!

Make sure y'all sign the RPM act petition,to avoid goverment inter vention in our sport. The government wants to make every thing we love illeagle. Spread the word we need millions of signatures from all over the country. To continue what we love.

When the EPA Closes all the tracks due to lack of cars paying bills...the racing will go to the street! Then what!? ( they forget why tracks were built!! ) Smh drives me nuts...fkn lib tards

@@jjsgarage1966 there won't be any racing on the streets either if they have their way. They aren't looking to shut down race tracks, though that will be consequence. They are looking to make any production car that ever had a VIN number assigned to it at any time, including purpose built racecars that will never see the street again, illegal. No production body of any type whatsoever can be modified in any way, or even become a dedicated racecar.

The rpm act is to keep dedicated race cars racing. It leaves all the novice hot rodders out. It does nothing for people who build hot rods to drive to the car show. Mainly the rpm act will not help any of us poor hot rod builders unless we wanna turn our car show hot rods into full blown racecars.

Molly, you could've gone right around that Dodge with no problem. You're doing better and better, you just need more seat time and now that you have a shift light you can really kick some azz. I've had Foxbodies and started street racing in 1983 and really like your 86 GT. Keep up the great work!

I was wondering when you were going to fix that tachometer. I mounted all that ignition stuff under the hood. There's plenty of room it there and easier to wire up. Now you can just bury the tach at 7K and shift it ! Have fun !

Yes she does. Her 2/3 is good, real good. She'll get that 1/2 dialed in soon. She should watch some old 'in car' footage of Grumpy Jenkins, Herb McAndliss (sp), Ronnie Sox to see how those guys pulled the 1/2 shift. It may offer her a few tips from the guys who made the term "Mr 4 Speed" real. She can be "4-Speed Molly' :)

@@quickdeuce it is kinda weird to have trouble 1 to 2 but not 2 to 3 which is usually significantly harder by comparison. With a good shifter neither are an issue I just bang the shit out of 2nd right foot never leaves the floor and on the 2-3 same and with a shifter you can palm it and push straight and it nails 3rd...and 3-4 I grip it with the back of my palm if I try pulling straight back arm in normal position I miss 4th sometimes pulling too much towards 2nd gear. The method I use in shifting I never really have issues long as there is a good shifter and I practice these methods been working for years.

I suggest a line lock to heat the tires when you have slicks, 2nd gear burnout, and a two step for those also. Try to leave around peak torque rpm and it’ll pull the wheels. Practice makes perfect.

Pop a 456 gear in it for now and watch it wake up. I had the similar combo.. turned a good running street car into a beast.. trust me.. ps, I went from a locker to a spool. Car shot like a dart after that!

B You need a line loc to hold the car still during the burnout. Pull them gears no double clutching. Shift at the proper rpm. You get that down you will be perfect and unbeatable.

Pro-Tip: Start pre-loading the shifter before you shift. When you hit the clutch the gear will already be on it's way. If you pull hard and fast the shift will occur in the time it takes you to push the clutch and take you foot off it.

Eventually she'll miss a gear and bend some valves in that nice motor, all because she doesn't shift good enough. Best for her in every single way to go automatic if she wants to continue racing that car.

Before shift lights were a thing, I used to mount the tach with my 7,000 rpm shift point straight up. Easier to see at a glance. Some did it with all the gauges so straight up was normal temp, oil pressure etc.

Molly nice racing. The mustang sounds sweet. Back in my aviation mechanic days that tool you didn’t know what to call they are Mechanical Fingers. Now you can tell your friends what they really are. They are used to grab hardware we couldn’t reach by hand. It sounded like the tranny was grinding every time you changed gears. Stay safe and well Artie 😊🇺🇸

It's about time you got a tach and shift light I was wondering how you know when to shift without knowing what the RPM is. When driving on the street you really don't need to know but in racing there is a sweet spot RPM you gotta hit to make a fast pass and without a tach and or light you will be doing lots of short shifts and over shifts anyway glad you got a tach or a light to get you shifts right because that is very important.

Second staging was the best I've seen you do good job. Main thing to work on is your reaction time and your 1st to 2nd shifts amd riding the rpm's out all the way and you will be rockin dudes..wjen are you going to boost it?!

first second gear delay will get you every time especially if you are just a millisecond late off your light maybe you can figure out some arm exercise that resembles shifting gears

Young lady . I don't know how much rims cost ,but if you find a set cheap ( like old man cheap ) grab them . That way it's easy To switch from slicks to hard tires . Saves on ware and tear on the tire bead
