You are right, Sir! I left my predominantly white denomination and I feel emotionally safe and am learning 10x more about Jesus in my new predominantly Black church. I tried but when I realized that many of those white Christians didnt care about me, I had to go.

@kimberlyross6688, the same with me. The PW Church I attended was heavy in evangelism, crusades and missions in Africa, the problem for me it was always Africa....I began to question the motive behind and I truly believe it is the White Savior Complex; I am a Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ but I also believe that Gospel being preached by the PW Church I attended is another Gospel, A White Jesus, White Gospel to not only to convert Africa to Christ but convert to White Culture...this is wrong

Brother, All I can say is WOW! This was so on point. You said everything I've been saying and one of the main reasons I left a mixed congregation church. I've been waiting to hear someone else say this to the church besides me. I could go on and on but I won't, because you have spoken. Shalom to you my brother!

I first heard Jamar Tisbe share on Holy Post podcast. The reason I was the Holy Post was because I had to flee the local Evangelical church where I had attended for 14 years. I rode it out for all that time, finding commonality in Christ. I was probably one of two Democrats in a Sea of Conservatives. I was tolerated but eyed with some suspicion. In the intimate prayer circle, I learned to keep my mouth shut, until I couldn't anymore. The Tea Party movement repulsed me, George Bush was the worst President ever, the whole mindset of the Republican Party that the Evangelical Church embraced astounded me. The deceit, injustice, attacks against the poor, the covert racism, and the demand for unity pushed down our throats until I had to say "unity does not mean uniformity." More hostility directed my way. Then Trump rode down his gilt escalator and real dred filled my heart. The wild enthusiasm for this orange monster was incomprehensible by my fellow believers. The night of the 2016 election I sat glued to the television set. I went into my bedroom to fetch my bathrobe and just then I heard the voice of the Lord say " The little horn with the big boastful words will win." I knew it as a reference to Daniel Ch.7. I fell to the floor weeping. I tried to share with my church friends but they had no ears to hear. They accused me of making it up. The fervor about this man reached a fever pitch. He was their deliverer. Stunned by the blindness, I sat in church just to see how far they would go with this madness. I heard astonishing claims. The train had completely jumped the tracks. Covid hit, I left. The few black families there also left. I was called a Marxist, baby killer, pure evil, a fascist ( gee, a Commie and a Fascist) and worse. When George Floyd was murdered I sat and wept. I put a bumper sticker on my car and had to take it off because of attacks by other drivers and neighbors. I replaced it with a large one reading " Love Thy Neighbor." That just earned some dirty looks. Not death threats. I cannot call myself an Evangelical. I simply follow Jesus..I am a 74 year old white woman who participated in the Civil Rights and anti war movement in the 1960's. My father was in the navy so we moved frequently. From San Diego in desegregated Navy Housing, I was then moved into red lined housing tracts by the second grade. The subsequent schools I attended were all white. Then a move to Arizona ,to a town near the naval air base, in another segregated neighborhood, the reality of what I witnessed opened my young eyes. The Mexican workers lived along the irrigation canals in adobe huts, picking cotton in the terrible heat,, and my heart hurt. But I witnessed something far worse. For whatever reason, my father drove my younger sister and I down a dusty dirt track ten miles out of town. There I saw something I have never forgotten. I was ten. Two narrow lanes were bordered with whatever could be cobbled together to make ramshackle shelters. That's where the black folk lived. No running water, no electricity, no indoor plumbing, nothing but discarded scraps from a dump formed these beloved peoples homes. My white face peering out at this scene in my father's new model Chevy deeply ashamed me. I ducked down so these wretched people would not see me staring at their misery. I felt that deep in my child's soul and knew it to be evil. Once more our father drove my sister and I to that squalor and though he never said a word, I understood his message. We were superior. I began to hate for the first time in my life. Not the beautiful black peoples, not even my deluded father, but the kind of society that allowed that kind of injustice to exist. I could no longer say the Pledge of Allegiance as required every morning in school. That scene haunted me. I knew that I was in no way better than they. I was just born in skin with less melanin. I began reading with intention. I read Holocaust survivors accounts. I read " To Kill a Mockingbird" in the fifth grade. I read science books on why skin color protects people from strong sunlight. Why Europeans whiter skin allowed for more sunlight in cloudy climates to make vitamin D. It was just an adaptation that developed depending on ancestral roots. The ignorance of racism still mystifies me. I met Jesus as a child. I read that we all descended from the same two parents, and was convinced they were not blond, blue eyed Scandinavians. Their origin was Northern Africa. I learned that on my own by reading. The cruelty of slavery broke my heart. Jim Crow broke my heart. It is still broken by how little progress we have made as nation, and the ugly beast White Supreamacy has again reared its head. Not that it ever went away. Just a pretense for a little while. Thank you Jamar Tisbe for continuing this battle for true justice. I bow before your firey eloquence. God be with you. You do not fight alone.

Thank you Jemar for continuing your call. We ARE privileged to be in your presence and grateful for the digital experience and learning self awareness. Now we put action in our service or it is all for not and against the love of God in each of us. What will it take for self honesty for us white folk....earnest effort and the journey is long as it must be. I woke up white, I knew when history told me about slavery something was very wrong. I was 12, I wept in history class then and still do today. I am a product of my experience, there is much to undo the brainwashing of a nation, a world. Poverty is a good place to begin to see, to know, to hear to feel made silent and invisible. But I still remain white, I can not change that, but I can change my ignorance and admit it.

Lost a few I thought close, loving relationships (in the church, even a pastor that married me. I am greiving those losses) Until, Black Lives Matter...Until my life had to really matter beyond comfort. I do understand everyone is not like that (Our standby PSA "We" like to give) but I am tired of us even having to give that assimilated disclaimer! To me that means you understand theirs an offense that has taken place and then We quickly place salve on our wounds for others! BUT I am wounded, our people have been wounded where is our salve? (repair) 😢...I lament for the church ⛪️ as a whole.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I believe Christ would agree since he himself said people will know if you serve me according to how you love one another. Not just those who look like you, but all those who dont also. Not all folks in the Christian faith are racist, I like those who fight within that impulse, am mixed-race and lived with that when I was attending church and felt very uncomfortable, church is not a place to hear offenses and bad racial jokes, some white folks could study the book of James many times ignore the truly message.

You must live in Spirit and not in flesh to be a true follower of Our Christ. Christ is not the image Da Vinci painted. Long hair on a man is a shame according to scriptures. The Ethiopians had the oldest depiction of what people looked like in the Time of Christ and they had Copper toned skin.. Jesus did not descend from tribes from Caucus Mountains. The Ethiopians also have Churches carved out of stone built with the Help of Angels. The 🌎 don't mention this because this is living proof of help from Planet Heaven.

1. The Holy Scriptures. 2. Go read your comment, and then read my response that should help you. 3. I am being judgmental. I am using righteous judgment to reply to your lost statement, brother. Adressing racism should've been the secondary focus of all believers in this nation. It is why it still plagues this nation every Sunday still. The socalled righteous are waiting on the wicked to fix the heart of this nation with laws and legislation. When our Lord and King has already given Law and Legislation to his people. 4. Your response that you might have friends of another race shows you how much you believe in what and who you say you believe in. In Christ, there is only one nationality of people, Israel. God only made one race of men, the human race. When Christ returns, he's coming back for all of Israel. Even the church which is engrated on to it. A perfect bride. Christians dont have friends of another race. We have brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus whom we love, help, and support wherever they are. Even if they don't attend our assembly. It is our duty that we let nothing divide our hearts or minds daily. The speaker is reminding us all of this. This is biblical and Godly. I believe even the Apostle Paul would agree. .

I know you come from a place of goodwill and compassion, but there is nothing you or your church could do to make this man “feel safe”. He’s a Marxist, a communist. He may not even realize it, but when your being brainwashed your usually unaware of the indoctrination thats taking place. The talk about systems and structures, weathering, systemic racism are all dead giveaways to this man’s ideology. Regardless of how you vote, he will consider you a racist. What’s a shame is that Baylor could have had someone like Xi Van Fleet who lived through Mao’s cultural revolution, or Yeonmi Park who experienced the hell called North Korea. Both women would have exposed the Marxist ideology he embraces. Instead they chose to allow a man to speak who embraces the words of two proud Marxist Alicia Garza and Patrice Culllers. This is why children are leaving universities as communist and our churches are rewriting their doctrines to comply with the Marxist. It’s getting harder to find a bold past who will stand on the Word.

@@LovelovelyJesus The Bible also says why do you look at the speck in your brothers eye when you have a beam in your own eye. Tisby, talks a big game about how “white churches” (his term not mine), but fails to explain what made him feel unsafe. Surely it couldn’t have been because he disagreed with the way others voted. If that were the case it seems he’s trying to control others through guilt and manipulation. Furthermore when he invokes the names of Alicia Garza, Patrice Cullers, and WEB DuBois we must not take that lightly. Confessed Marxist Alicia Garza and Patrice Cullers cofounded BLM, not for social change, but to profit off its donors. Hence the phrase Buy Large Mansion. Cofounder of the NAACP WEB DeBois was even worse as he wined and dined with Mao Zedong in Beijing during the Great Leap Forward. Clearly he had no concern for the Chinese people who were suffering from the famine induced by Mao. What DeBois did instead was give a speech at Peking University in Beijing praising Mao and Communism. The lives of the millions of Chinese who had resorted to cannibalism or eating mud was of no concern to DeBois, nor did he care about the poor treatment blacks living in China received. Robeson Taj Frazier’s who wrote a book titled, “The East is Black”, take a look at it. Mao Zedong used black leaders in the US for the sole purpose to stroke division! This would also be the perfect time for Baylor to invite Xi Van Fleet to speak as next month her book “Mao’s America” will be released. In her book she goes in depth about her experience growing up during Mao’s Cultural Revolution. To wrap up, I refuse to allow a man who doesn’t know me to call me a racist when the people he honors and praises are racist, and con artists!
