In this video we'll be testing Avatar Frontiers of Pandora on a full AMD system. Seeing that the game was sponsored by AMD we'll be testing Avatar on the Radeon RX 7600 paired with a Ryzen 5 5600 with 16GB of DDR4 3200Mhz memory.
Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is arguably one of the best looking games that we have ever seen. Pair the popping colors with ray tracing and you get a winning recipe. The game itself is also a pretty decent game and I am having quite a good time with it.
So how will the RX 7600 fare in this graphically demanding title with ray tracing? We'll be testing the AMD Radeon RX 7600 at 1080p, 1440p and 4K, and we'll be using multiple presets as well as FSR upscaling and FSR3 frame generation.

The reason why the game wouldnt run at 1080 Ultra is driver related. I reverted to 23.11.1 Adrenaline drivers and the issue was resolved. Adrenaline 23.12.1 does mention game-ready for Avatar so that is why I used those in this video.

Yup, 23.12.1 had me crashing in pretty much all games:fh5,cs2,spider man,avatar,modtly these demanding games, il change the driver, see if that fixes the problem...

@@pop1ca Which is strange because others have reported 23.12.1 as being the most stable driver they have used so far. I guess it differs from system to system, but it's not ideal. Luckily this is the only game I have had issues with.

The 7600 is actually a really good GPU, if only it had more than 10gb of VRAM, at 260-280 bucks it would be a great deal!

Yeah, I like the 7600 as well. Previously I loved the 6600 XT, and this performs about the same but with the added benefit of anti-lag+ and better RT. It's a good little GPU that wont break the bank. More VRAM wouldnt hurt though.

@@Mostly_Positive_Reviews as seen in the 7600 xt, it certainly doesn't seem to help very much in most scenarios right now. That may change in the future though!

@@ofon2000 Yeah, using playable settings on this GPU, typically 1080p High or 1440p Medium with upscaling, the risk of running out of VRAM is definitely reduced. Still, 8GB for a GPU released in 2022 / 2023 is not ideal, and that goes for the 4060 and 4060 Ti as well.

This is one of those cards where you need to tweak settings a bit to find something playable. And It does rely on upscaling to get good frame rates. Which isnt bad but might put some people off.

Agreed. It can hold its own at 1080p, but needs a bit of assistance at 1440p or even 1080p Ultra in the form if upscaling.

Sup, I have saphire rx 7600, 32GB RAM, R7 5700X newest drivers and my game is crashing in cutscenes. Someday it works, sometimes not

Mine also started crashing so I rolled back to the November driver. Working fine since.

Don't use Msi afterburner or other programs while playing.Use Amd metering only or dont use any softs while Playing

For FG to look OK, you will need a high refresh rate monitor.

Yeah correct, and I do play on a 165hz monitor but still there seems to be a lot of screen judder compared to DLSS 3 frame generation.

7700 XT and 7800 XT are on my list of GPUs to buy for the channel, so as soon as I do I will, but unfortunately at the moment I dont have those GPUs 😔

This game is so badly optimised which I don’t get as assassins creed mirage was actually pretty good

You have to remember that this game uses quite a bit of ray tracing and there's no way to fully disable it. And unfortunately the RX 7600 does struggle with ray tracing.
