Great reaction! I wish more who react would pay attention to the real meaning of the song like you did. Their performance of this at the 1993 PinkPop festival is way better than the official video IMO.

I'm a hair older then you both; the goth club I went to in the early 90's... when this came on 100 people jumping with middle fingers in the air was powerful as hell.

I know you are a fan of lyricism, so it's amazing to me that you're only casually aware of Rage's work. Zach De La Rocha is the most accomplished lyricist in rock/metal history, and this is a hill I will die on. I strongly recommend you do a deep dive on this band. In fact, I would pay good money (I actually wouldn't, I'm working poor) to watch you binge all four albums while drinking and steadily getting angrier and more worked up. For what it's worth here's my must-listen songs from each album: From the self-titled debut album: Wake Up (this was on the Matrix soundtrack, so it may be familiar) From Evil Empire: Down Rodeo From Battle of Los Angeles: Born of a Broken Man And from Renegades: The Ghost of Tom Joad (this one's a cover of a Springteen song)

Tool... definitely tool. Use headphones and have lyrics ready because they are really deep and the meaning is sometimes lost without understanding what they say and how it's being said. Tool. Once you listen to one song, you want to listen to the entire album. Once you listen to that album, you want another one.... they have a few, all fire!
