Tom Morello (the guitarist, you may have seen him in Ironman, as one of the terrorists) is amazing. All of their songs were recorded live, and all the sounds were made with guitar, drums, bass, vocals. So yeah, he was stabbing that aux cord into his hand to get them sounds. RATM drops bombs and nothin else. A legendary band. Fun note, Tom Morello apologized just in case it was their hip-hop/metal style that influenced Limp Byzkit. He felt bad about that.
@Dyrtbag684 жыл бұрын
Limp Bizkit as a whole were good. Fred Durst's off the stage bs is what killed it for them. Funny as hell that Tom Morello said it though.

It's not an AUX cable, even though the contacts looks the same. It's a guitar cable, Tele cable. And yeah, guitar cables always make noise when you touch the end that is not plugged into the guitar. This combined with effect boxes makes cool sounds!
@els1f4 жыл бұрын
@@Dyrtbag68 fr, it's a painful thing to admit, but every individual member of LB was a great musician. Unfortunately, the lead singer was a very irritating person who seemingly would be anything to be famous. Although I guess that's the reason we still remember who they are. 🤷♂️ I really can't stand durst, but if you listen to "3 dollar bill" only focusing on the music they were all really good. Like I said, if it weren't for the personality of the frontman They probably would have just been a bunch of talented musicians no one had heard of with dayjobs.

It is hard to imagine that Rage’s first album dropped almost 30 years ago. I remember seeing the video for Freedom on MTV in 1993 when I was a freshman in high school. Back then I was into grunge like STP and Soundgarden and Dr. Dre & Snoop. Go figure. Anyway, I saw Rage live at Lollapalooza in 1996 and again with Wu-Tang in 1998. Rage live was like nothing else. Just pure adrenaline. So good. They were really my intro to rock music which started an obsession that still lives on. I hope it does the same for others. Peace.

I grew up with Rage a a big influence and the highlight of my life was performing with my own band at the 2008 Big Day Out Festival that was headlined by the reformed Rage Against the Machine. Thanks you for sharing your authentic reaction to this band brother! It’s been super real seeing how deeply you feel it!!
