I remember coming across this on my first playthrough of mgs2. I was a kid still at the time, and it was a late summer night. I had been playing for several hours, and when this came on I really thought the game had become sentient and told me to turn it off. Oh to be able to experience this moment for the first time again...

I was so glad and felt safe because I met Solid Snake after that

Just saw this cutscene in-game for the first time a few minutes ago and I don't think I've ever been so freaked out by any media before lmao

This moment, was the most scary moment on video games I ever had, that woke me up so hard. I have never felt this sour of touch through a controller, through a video game I don't know how to call it. I felt more fear on MGS2 than any Silent Hill or Resident Evil or any other game, I think it felt real because the game stopped talking to itself and pointed at me the player for 5 seconds.

I love how this game ended up just being a really deep message about AI and Information and had like 2% to do with the actual story.

I remember playing this getting scared but more so freaked out by this when I was a kid.
