I like the scenic shots you do when the train is running in between towns

You're having a lot of problems with handbrakes, but I'm noticing there seems to be a handy indicator for them in the bottom left corner of the screen, just above the loco controls. Each of those little blips indicate the brake status of each vehicle in the train, front of the train to the left and rear to the right. They're white when the brakes are released, they turn red when you use the airbrakes and they turn purple when the handbrake is on. EDIT= After I posted this, I watched the rest of the video and you realised this... Yes it does seem that the handbrake on the loco's tender is backwards, saying "apply" when it is applied and "release" when it is released. Might be an idea to mention this to the devs, seems like a bug...

When the two engines were fighting each other, you never checked what the 10-wheeler's controls were set to do. Once it got fuel and water, it was set with an open reg and the reverser in 100% forward. It was pretty visible that any time you let the brakes off the Mogul, the 10-wheel was just pushed the whole thing along. You needed to either ctrl-click the 10-wheel and hit the "Select" button in the UI to give you the HUD controls, or you could actually physically get in the cab to see what the controls were set to. When you eventually hit the AI and told it to reverse, it took over the incorrectly set controls and started doing what you wanted.

Click the MU button under the Car tab when you control + click the the trailing train for using multiple units! Took me a little while to figure this out as well 🙃

38:30 There's a few tooltips that are backwards and I've been reporting them. Hopefully that minor stuff gets sorted by release. On the train HUD purple means a brake is on. I also found out a dimmed out icon means it's derailed. Whoops!

If is pronounced fyoo-see or fuse-sea. It is the French renunciation for flare. Pretty good details on the scenery. The water crane has the handle at the base that you use in real life to turn the spout into position. The engine shed has the large overhead hoods (for the roof vents) that you align the engine stack under when you put a engine in the shed.

I'm here because of Kerbo, he said to come check out your videos and I'm glad I did. Seems the handbrake "reversed" issue is fixed upon release along with a bunch of other things, even though this isn't a dedicated loco sim, I'd still say it's my favourite train sim game out there at the moment, followed by Loco-Shortline Operations and then Derail Valley. Dovetail are so far in my rearview now that I don't even check in to see what's new any more with TSW.

This game looks great, but I do sort of wish the engine handlings was a bit morr accurate. Well not handling per say, but boiler management.

JMHO, but I think it would be more 'realistic' (since it's the 40s?) if instead of the tank car just sitting there slowly dispensing its payload on the siding with nothing else around, there should be some large tanks next to that siding to unload the fuel oil into so you can then bring the tank car back to the interchange. I don't think oil companies would allow tank cars to just sit on a siding for days/weeks when it can be unloaded and used again within 24 hours. Edit: Just got the 'handbrakegate' part...they were all released except the first car; you applied the handbrakes to all the cars and released the handbrake on the first car.

I've seen in other videos that if you shift click the air hoses it turns the cutout valves at the same time if you find the hit box of the valves a bit difficult to interact with

In defence of Schnauz calling 10 wheelers "decapods", the word 'decapod' means "ten footed" - in the case of the 2-10-0 obviously the ten footed applies to the driving wheels, but you could just as accurately apply the name to a 4-6-0 as 4 pilot wheels + 6 drivers adds up to "ten feet" total. Since 0-10-0s are so rare they're often lumped in with 2-10-0s and simply referred to as "decapods" or "decks" Southern Pacific was so fond of the phrase "Decapod" that they shortened the phrase to "deck" in their employee lingo, the interesting thing is SP never actually owned any 2-10-0s, so the term "deck" was instead applied to the 2-10-2s and 4-10-2s, again referring to the number of drivers. Just remember it's your railway, your rules, if you wanna call 4-6-0s decapods, idk, I can think of worse ideas.

Point of order, #2 is a Ten Wheeler, not a Decapod - Decapod’s a 2-10-0, ten drivers but 12 overall wheels. And there is one in the game!

I have not found a way to make the passenger trains run completely by themselves in A.I. mode I have set up a train between two stations with Fusees at both ends and all I have to do is 1) select what station the pullman car is loading for, wait for it to load up to 60 people. 2) select the engine in A.I. preset to 35mph and toggle forward / reverse... the A.I. engineer will do the rest.

This literally seems like the game of my dreams! I would love the idea of having my own railroad. Buying locos, earning money and having the freight swap itself. One thing I hate about train simulator classic even though I have 1200 hours and almost all dlc it’s all in vein as you can have very little rolling stock and locos in the “scenario”. The scenario resets all assets so there is no continuous play ( ie using equipment and resources, coal, water, wear and tear on the units and equipment. But my biggest grievance on train sim is the fact that you cannot swap railcars without starting a new scenario. I hate that well above the fact that you can have like 3 locos and 100 cars before getting the ran out of memory even though my computer has 128 gigs memory on the RAM and 16 on the 6950X graphics card. Sucks that train sim is that way but looks like I after telling dovetail over and over again about how the game started out as a miracle is now a royal piece of crap. I have always wanted to earn money with the locos have the rolling stock swap itself out and need to buy coal or diesel and maintain your fleet of locos. Does anyone know how big your fleet can be? Will they get northern and articulates in the game? I am so seriously excited for this game on the 15, I am in, I am all in! I have almost all DLC with train sim classic and 1200 hours. Not anymore. I will race you all to 1,000 hours on December the 15!

I found shift click to connect and automatically open/close valves and ive never tried to do it myself since. The passenger carriage is so finicky otherwise.

First, the Tender is not fully repairt Secend, when a Game work not fine, restart it third, you can klick MU ohne a window. but i dont know ho its works excatly
