the baby-fication of Rainbow High is actually pretty similar to what happened to Monster High for G2. They rebranded themselves to become more palatable to a younger audience, and also partly because Barbie, their flagship line, was in a rough patch so they put ALL their resources into helping her while neglecting the other doll lines in prodiction. And now RH, is rebranding itself to become more palatable to a younger audience, while Bratz, MGA's flagship line, is returning for a new generation, so they're putting ALL of their resources into heralding their return while neglecting the other doll lines in production.

I would like to know the motivation behind ‘removng’ Poppy

I'm not sure how to feel about the wrist articulation going. I'm going to miss the poseability a lot. However the hands were always the most frustrating part of these dolls. (Not including the dolls with interchangeable legs) They are so hard to take on and off compared to Monster High or Omg LoL. I don't think most kids really could take them on and off. So this might be why they were removed entirely. While these changes do suck, I can't say I'm really shocked by them. Rainbow High has always made me wonder who these dolls are for. There were always these extra details and embellishments that kids wouldn't appreciate. My niece broke Sabrina St Cloud's suitcase ten minutes after playing with her. And she generally never used the jackets because they were too difficult to put on. Note that she is 10. It just felt like a waste sometimes. Perhaps MGA sees it this way too. Especially since Junior High was way more popular than Rainbow Vision.

I know doll companies are always in active competition but it is painfully obvious how MGA is using rainbow high to parrot whatever Mattel does. Mattel brought back slime with barbie pop surprise? Guess what rh has slime again. Mattel putting pets with all MH and pushing pets with Barbie? Rh suddenly comes with pets. And you can't tell me the junior high sleepover doesn't feel like a direct copy of creepover. Slumber party themes are normal for dolls but the original RH sleepover dolls felt like RH with elevated designs and quality accessories, these are playline trash with toy pizza and games just like Creepover. I wish RH would just be comfortable doing their own thing and prioritizing fashion not storytelling.

They could swallow the accessories too, so not sure that's why they don't have wrist articulation. Well, maybe the accessories are bigger than the hands...

New Slumber Party Rainbow High

So they babified their show and then got confused when their demographic changed, so instead of hiring new writers, they redesigned their entire series and toys to match their younger audience

I kinda like the new dolls slime dolls and the junior high dolls but I will say I do wish they had articulation in their hands and I do want them to remove the glitter in the slime dolls because it looks so bad so if I get them I'm definitely going to remove it by using acetone and the dolls I'm excited to get is Amaya but i will get her fashion pack because i hate her outfit she wears in her box set and also Violet aswell but I'll need to see her outfit before think about it but besides that might get more of them and I'm definitely getting all the rainbow junior high slumber party dolls because I love them they look so cute to me and Sunny and Bella are my favorite characters but I'll definitely try and get them all but yeah rainbow high definitely needs to bring it up sometime soon because I love Rainbow high and O.M.G. oh and WE NEED JUSTICE FOR POPPY like if you agree

Rainbow High now re branded as Rainbow World, great timing for Christmas with this line for younger kids, I strongly suspect a new series of Junior High to assist with marketing these dolls, and lets hope in the Rainbow World there will be a new series for the senior dolls as it would make sense having all the doll molds set up for manufacturing. So I predict something later in 2024 for the Shadow/Rainbow high senior dolls. We had Rainbow Vision, we had the Runway show perhaps Dancing with rainbows!?
