2 corrections~ Mothers wasn't obsessed with the drawings so much that she smudge it. She was paranoid that someone found out she has been using the sim, trying to erase the picture, afraid that her feelings for her creator would be found out. The voice asked Campion to kill his father not himself. Although, we are not revealed as to how that makes any sense in his situation.

An interesting point I noted in this episode is in the scene where Campion is undergoing baptism. If you look closely at the hand of the female leader holding the baptism cup, you'll see a Freemason symbol tattooed on her hand. It seems probable that the Sons of Mithras and the Masons have a related belief or tied origins.....anyone else have views on this?

I like the show a lot especially for its allegorical themes, and this is just a persnickety detail, but why didn't the crew of the Mithraic ark pack at least one Necromancer for their trip to Kepler-22b? Venturing into terra incognita justifies bringing that kind of firepower, since their objective is colonization (i.e., conquest). Also, an Ark-necromancer versus Mother-necromancer smackdown would be awesome.

So no one noticed that sue said "jesus christ" when marcus came back injured.

My personal theory as to why Marcus now thinks he's the prophet is hinted at when he whispers "She told me so..." I have a hunch that it was Mother's discussion with Marcus, when she was strung up and could've been killed, they had a few minutes of dialog where she was basically psychoanalyzing him. She knew he was a child soldier, and an orphan, and knowing that she had only her own voice and ideas to protect her, she planted some ideas into his head to cause him to believe this. The only way she had, really, to save herself.

Why bite her ? In the sex scene. That bite seemed out of place there. Why a bite ? Do the creatures have anything to do with this ? This tv show is really good. I can’t tell what is coming which is rare for me. I highly recommended.

My best explanation for the visions is that Tally survived that fall down the hole and is now in some sort of parallel dimension that allows her to appear to everyone one the planet. Still doesn't explain the pentagonal spaceship and the weird person/creature who can apparently jump off walls like Spiderman.

My theory is that Creator Campion's consciousness has been downloaded into Mother's body and has been acting as secret split personality (like in Psycho, Fight Club, etc) without Mother knowing. Necromancers manipulate (mind control, destruction, flight) mainly by sound, much like the "voices" . It's a program that is running, using the necromancer body, but subconsciously. Thus Mother can be fully awake and engaged on one action while Creator program is executing a totally different one simultaneously.

The older Campion sent other humans and androids to the new planet before he sent mother. That’s the only way to explain the voices and visions. That and something to do with the planet creates this supernatural power

Question: who was the first character to mention the term "Necromancer"? In E2, Campion says the men said it at the end of E1, but other than Marcus warning him to shield his eyes, they didn't speak (within Campion's earshot) after the android-on-android fistfight. Was this bad editing (the line hitting the cutting room floor) or a hint of something more (Campion having memories of the war)? It's likely the former rather than the later.

I believe Campion has a twin brother and he is the one that is in the helmet. To further push the Rome themes Two brothers fighting to build a new civilization. They were both raised as Mithraic and Campion was the smart one Otho was the “Warrior” one. Campion probably became disillusioned after creating so many necromancer for the war. They probably had an initial purpose but because of the war they were repurposed as war machines. It’s the only other reason I can think of why you would build up a face reveal for a character that we don’t know yet.

The thing that makes no sense about this show and undermines the whole premise is that the main Mithraic characters (Paul’s “parents”) cease to be atheists and attempt to defeat Mother and Father. As if the writers think atheists are just waiting around for a reason to adopt a faith and have no principles of their own...
