This is a side by side comparison of a Yak Attack and Ram Fish Finder mounts on an Old Town Sports PDL 120 Kayak. I have the two mounts set up with Garmin Fish Finders and compare the two. I also cover the Navarre Kayak handle mount as well.

I run garmin 93sv on that yakattack mount. It does have a little wobble but I heard that was done intentionally to give a little in case it gets hung on something while on the water ie. Trees branches etc. I feel your apprehension tho but I haven't had any issues personally

Sounds like marketing mumbo jumbo to me. I could see them in a meeting after realizing the mount they just created wobbles, so after brainstorming, they came up with the story of it being designed that way as a feature.

Excellent review! Did yo have any issues installing Navarre handle? Did holes match? Did mounting surfaces on the handle and kayak match? thanks!

Would the ram mount be able to hold a Garmin 106 sv(10in)?

I have the Garmin 93sv which is slightly smaller than your 106sv. The listed sizes are as follows- 93sv= 11.4”x 6.5” x 2.4” 106sv= 11.6 “ x 7.7” x 3.9” With just that small amount of difference I do not think you would have any issues with it. It has proven to be very sturdy for mine and I believe it would serve you well. If you do get it let me know how it does for you and thanks for watching!
