Ranger DANGER 8.8 REAR END SWAP and winch for the TRAILERS!

The homie @JXPLODER40 came through to help with a job on an 8.8 rear end swap for a Ford Ranger DANGER while I fabricated my Smith Built 9.5k winch mount for my trailers. The swap isn’t a hard swap if you take a few steps to do it right and have all the parts, basic tools and a welder it’s easy. Semi time consuming but cleaning up the 8.8 sway bar mounts and leaf perches is the fun part so be prepared for some grinding! Winch mount turned out rad and UNIVERSAL for both trailers and a trucks hitch mount. Hoping not to have to ever use it but if I do then it should do the trick. Better to be prepared for the worst than left scratching your head saying how the F**K am I gonna get outta this situation haha.

I like that winch mount. Looks like you do really neat work . I did the same swap for my 88 ranger with the rearend. I ditched the V6 and I'm going406 small block Chevrolet should be fun to drive! Keep it up man. Have a good one. Fire it up n let it rip man!

Rubber cap for the v end of the mount or someone sooner or later is going to need stitches from smacking their head on it . Great way to make 1 winch multi use

I saw this last night. I liked it a lot and subscribed. I've seen you on Hoonigan channel a bunch of times. Was the pinion set with the axle under weight? Also what transmission is in the blue explorer? I've blown up my automatic twice now behind my 4.0L SOHC in my Sport Trac. Thanks

For someone that uses Boxo tools on a daily basis how would you say they hold up. Been eyeing up the 26 in top box and the and that 217 piece master tool set. Is it worth me dropping 1400 for the box and tools

Salvador Diaz got mine out of a 96 exploder bought the whole thing for $60 had a scrapper friend of mine cut it out with a torch he took what was left for scrap he paid me $60 so mine was a FREEBIE!
