I recently built the four color Aragorn as a charm and command deck and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite decks ever. Playing a land and saying go has never felt so good when each of your cards are basically 3 cards and also trigger your commander for 3 of the 4 options.

Maybe it's cuz I can't send links or something. Mana base is still pretty budget since I wanted to test it out before going all in.

12:09 On the stun counter reminder text, it states that 'when a permanent with a stun counter would become untapped remove a stun counter from it instead', a tentacle dying would just remove a stun counter from it

Sauron, the Dark Lord is a MONSTER. Once It enters the battlefield, if your opponents are attached to their commanders or they need them for doing shenanigans, they won't kill it. Even if they tried, you can let them "pay" the ward cost and then counter the spell. I played a few games with him in a Grixis aristocrats deck with nether traitor, pitiless plunderer, viscera seer... And the amounts of 1/1 army he generates to being sacrifice is amazing. Pair that with "the ring temps you effect" and you will always have at least 4 cards in your hand.

17:10 elves have negligible senescence in lord of the rings, that is, they don’t die due to aging. They have the ability to give that ability up however, which is the flavor reason for having a counter that you can give away

I can confirm that the Eowyn precon is pretty nuts when Shared Animosity is on the board. Did a precon game with my buddies and my winning combat involved 150+ damage thanks to that card

I feel like Gandolf the grey is underrated. When he sees the cast at instant speed, he can untap a land/mana rocks or tap down the scariest creature, drain the table for 3, cast a spell twice and if they try to remove him, you can just put him on top of your library and draw him back and recast him like mainphase 2 every turn. He’s really fun in my storm deck with krark the thumbless

Elrond of the white council is a good simic +1/+1 counter commander. You run a few flicker effects and soon your opponents are forced into bad choices. Even them giving you tokens that get hugely buffed is great for you

Knowing that almost everybody thinking about a Nazgul deck is going to build around the Dimir one, I built a mono black sacrifice Witch-King of Angmar deck with the 9 Nazgul included! It's not tier 1 strong, but it's keeping up pretty well at my LGS level! 👌🏻

The witch king of angmar deck I build is voltron with a few monarch and other things that make ppl want to attack me even though they will get punished. Have like 15 wins in it

Aragorn the uniter very quickly replaced torens as my human tribal deck commander, and holy cow! The difference is amazing!

Human tribal slaps so hard. My one game with him I recast after a board wipe. Next turn dropped Adeline swung and made 4 tokens then cast distant melody and drew 6. Final turn dropped Beregond, Coppercoat Vanguard and Shared Animosity for the win 💀

I think its nice to rush thru the stinky commanders at the start up to a certain point but in the end it felt a bit rushed compared to the other ranking every commander that where up to 1:30 h long. Dont get me wrong i really like the series but i think you could have spend a little more time with the top 20 or 15 😁

You forgot to mention that legolas got banned from middle earth for using aimhacks. Also gimli axes (heh) some sacrifice stratagies. Galadriel of lothlorian is very powerful. Ive had games where someone got out 7 lands on turn 4, and by turn 10 they had around 16. Lastly, sauron isn't super level 10 power but how is azorius pippin more powerful? Been excited for this video, despite my nitpicking. And I agree with everything else.

No way Sauron, the Dark Lord is a 6 when it comes to power level, sure he is 6 mana but he protects himself pretty well, near infinite sac fodders, and refreshes your hand every turn if his army connects. He is also in grixis, meaning thoracle is on the menu if you decide to tread down that path.

@@dizzlegrizzle1919 Except I never claimed it to be CEDH playable in the first place and this is not a channel that is geared towards CEDH. So I am judging it based on EDH. You can still play demonic//pact thoracle in non-CEDH tables. If I want to play CEDH there are better commanders.

If you are at all interested in fantasy fiction stuff (which anyone making or watching this video surely is), I cannot recommend the works of Tolkien highly enough. There's some good audiobooks you can find if you like them that way.

I've been playing with Frodo, Sauron's Bane, and that card is stupid as a commander. Add in a Mythril Coat or anything that makes him indestructible, make him unblockable with something like Rouge's Passage, and he becomes scary real fast.

I'm seeing a lot of great commanders and some really good flavor, but I'm torn. Because on the other hand they race swapped characters and ruined the lore. First of all, whitewashing the Easterlings is unnecessary and racist, and black-washing Elves and Aragorn directly contradicts the lore Tolkien wrote. It boggles the mind.
