Thought seize too, I almost never see it played because all the black decks run other discard spells, thoughtseize might even be the worst in the format!

Shrieking Affliction, Liliana Waker of the Dead and Tergrid would've made excellent finishers for this deck, maybe even a 1-2 copies of Painful Quandary. Pioneer compatible too!

Yep. Me too. Magic players today are not creative. It's the same decks over and over again. 80% of my matches are either Sheoldred/One Ring or Blue/red tempo.

As obnoxious as they are, I much prefer them over all the white: exile everything and fuck you here is a 10/10 spells. 5 mana to make anything that happened in the game up to then irrelevant and 6 to just simply flip the table and you even get to choose what to keep. Sheoldred is annoying, but the abundance and no risk/ cost of white exile boardwipes just degrades all creature decks. With destroy everything effects you'd have at least the possibility for some protection interaction and graveyard effects but as it stands as soon as they hit their 5 mana you can basically forget sticking anything to the board for the next 12+ rounds
