This was the same for the time will.i.am worked with 2NE1. He was with them from start to finish, even though the album never saw the light of day.

I agree. I keep trying to explain to people that - right now - Lisa is trying to establish herself as a solo artist with the international community. She doesn't want to just be seen as a rapper/dancer, but as a triple threat, somebody who can do it all. Given the numbers she's rolling up, it's working.

I think when Blackpink collaborates with rappers (Cardi B, Megan), they're the only rappers in the track. But with pop singers like Selena Gomez, there's room for Lisa to rap. Either way, Lisa kills it every time. She can be whatever you want her to be.

I'm very happy with this track - we rarely get to hear Lisa's vocals in Blackpink songs since her role is the rapper and Teddy always takes over with the song writing and composing so girls have less of a chance to work on that side of the things but here we get Lisa's vocals and her credited as song writer and composer for the first time. Also you saying people who don't know Spanish would be singing along was so spot on that's exactly how I'm doing lol

The versatility of Lisa and BP in general continues to show. We all know Lisa and Jennie can rap in an incredible way, but seeing the way Lisa can steal a music video and track with her vocals too is fantastic to see. They've grown so much as artists since dropping 3 of their 4 solos. The comeback for BP is going to be one of the biggest things K-pop and music has seen in a long time.

The song is good definitely was made for a more Wester and Latin audience. Although I think without Lisa being on the song it don't think it would have been even noticed by most people. Even though I would have preferred to hear Lisa rap. I think it's good that Lisa gets to show the world that she can sing. Also I hear each person wrote their own parts so it helps that Lisa gets credit for her writing. And she managed in her lyrics to keep her gender attraction unknown. Unlike Magan Stallion who is definitely talking about a guy. Lisa leaves you wondering, since she knew she would take over the chorus of singing Sexy Girl. And Lisa is know to say many times she likes (sexy girls). So this song flowed good for her. All in all I think the song will build her fans in other markets other then kpop.

I love the flavour Lisa voice gave to the song Megan with her powerful rap and Ozuna with his tone and delivery and Dj Snake as always had sick sound production. Lisa really surprised me with her vocals in this song i expected a hard rap but this song is a real hit gonna be on repeat till Christmas atleast

Well one reason why DJ Snake can pull off smoothness is that he’s inspired by French hip hop, which does usually have a smooth vibe, especially if he was inspired by MC Solaar, who is known to be more on the poetic side of hip hop.
