The fact that she had every right to hate on and bash Yoko Ono - but chose not to, says so much about how lovely and upstanding her character truly was. Such a truly kind and beautiful soul.

@@mathonamoore123 Yes: exactly!!! WHEN did Cynthia Lennon die??? I've never heard of this & I live in England!¡!¡!¡ Yoko Ono: who is the exact opposite of Cynthia is a very demented, demonised, sexually perverted, (look @ her poor abused & "messed up" son: Sean) real 'sicko': satanic witch who definately had a powerful "hold" over John!!! Lennon was going to a hard phase in his life by that time. He was envolved with the Beatles, he wanted to leave the band, his marriage was near to the end and he was using drugs. Things were difficult to him.... When he shoutted to little Julian, he was under drugs effect. John was ill. He finally met Yoko, who took care of him. He had no condition of being a father to Julian. But things started to change, he found love for the first time and saw he could find peace in his life. John discovered he could change for a better person and decided to spread these news for everybody. Peace is about being a better person, not about return to a ruined marriage where John never found love. I think he was a good father, Julian never knew hunger nor had no home to live or school to go. John said Julian clearly preferred Paul as a father and John respected Julian. John always perceived that the relationship between Julian and John was not very good, but once Jihn wanted to be a better man, he formed a new family and had Sean. Everybody has the right to love and be loved.

Cynthia was a woman with absolute style and poise and a big heart to be able to still talk about John Lennon in such forgiving terms. She raised a young boy into a great gentleman who has also had his knocks and struggles and yet has come to develop the same poise as his mother.

Cynthia lived her life in serenity and beauty. The first thing with Cyn was her striking beauty. Gorgeous hair, sparkling eyes, great cheekbones, that radiant smile, that figure, those legs! Then came her soft, beautiful voice. Then the artistry and the creativity, the class, and the demure elegance. Then the keen eye, the discernment, and the perceptiveness. Finally came the soulfulness. She is one of my favorite Dolly Birds of all time. Cyn was impeccable grace personified. Julian was blessed with her as she was with him. We are all blessed for having Cyn touched our lives. Imagine having to live in a legend’s shadow and answering questions about some of the most painful of times. She handled herself with beautiful inner strength and quiet courageousness. I will always be an unredeemed Cynner. Rest well, beautiful soulful lady.

I have the deepest respect for Cynthia Powell. She was a beautiful and very dignified woman. She was a fine artist! I noticed when Mr Stapleton asked Cynthia about Yoko, she didn't mention the day she returned from her trip to Greece discovering John and Yoko sitting in her dining room staring at each other wearing her robe and slippers. Cynthia was just too good for John Winston Lennon. What hypocrisy! John Lennon was the same man who wrote "All You Need Is Love"!

Cynthia is a very level headed real person. She's not vindictive, and she's totally transparent. Confident, mature, and fine with herself and the past. I wish more people were that balanced. An absolutely beautiful lady, clearly. Her etiquette, respect for others and diplomacy is very rare for anyone - let alone for a central figure in the life of one of music's most famous idols. I have great admiration for Cynthia's self-control in tricky and provocative interviews such as this. Stapleton wasted a rare opportunity for a fascinating interview with one of John Lennon's most intimate relations by choosing to act as provocateur. I'm a huge John Lennon fan, but he really treated Cynthia badly.... she was such a lovely, genuine and forgiving lady. I'm sure, had he lived, he would have made moves to help both her and Julian, but he was still under Yoko's all-pervasive influence when he died. RIP Cynthia - you were a lady.

Lenny---I am sure you are wrong. He basically disowned his son, Julian, in his will. Yoko got control of everything!
@LennyJohnson56 жыл бұрын
Hi Larry; I think you're only emphasising my point - that at the time of his death "he was still under Yoko's all-pervasive influence". I was pointing out that I feel, in the fullness of time, this would have ceased to be the case (their marriage was in serious trouble at the time of his death; read Fred Seaman's book 'Living On Borrowed Time') and he would have sorted out not only Cynthia and Julian, but also his family back in Liverpool - he had many faults, but meanness wasn't one of them - by all accounts he was a very generous man. He foolishly (in my opinion) entrusted Yoko with the power to do the right thing with his money, should he predecease her..... there is no way he would - to my mind - expect her not to look after Julian, Julia, Jackie, Mimi, Liela and his various other cousins. However, upon his death, Yoko considered the money hers..... as she always hoped. And with John's unexpected and premature death, she proved to be less than generous..... John's biggest fault was the trust he showed in Yoko, a chancer who seemed to have a Svengali-like hold over a man who appeared, to the rest of the world, to be very strong.
