Rare Earth was the first successful act signed by Motown Records label that consisted only of white members. "Hey, Big Brother", "Born To Wander" "(I Know) I'm Losing You" and "Get Ready" are other hits they had. Great stuff!

Glad to see that a band like rare Earth can break the oppression barrier that motown has done to people for years so glad that we were able to finally be included into something that we deserve to be in after all our hard work Finally to break through that oppressive racist motown records

Just a great blast from the past!!! From their 1971 album, "One World", this song has such a great funk, rock groove. Rare Earth was the first all white pop act signed to Motown. From the first guitar note you are drawn into one of the greatest record. Each instrument has a wonderful contribution to this great memory. Glad you were groovin Harri. This song gives such a positive joyous vibe. Thanks Harri and Imadrummin. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

Power-Funk from Detroit. A huge song when I was in Junior High, Middle School for some folks. We had dance units during the school day at my Jr. High, very progressive, and this was one of the most popular songs every day. "I Just Want To Celebrate" by Rare Earth rocks.

Hey there my bestie! I'm so glad that you reacted to the song! I deal with a lot of things internally, one of which is Complex PTSD ok? THIS song is one of many that I use when things start to get me down. I grew up listening to this and I loved it as a kid. It just really helps me so I can get my head "recalibrated" so to speak. A lot of times, it makes me appreciate some other things but I've forgotten that are good. Its message is simple but actually is also very powerful. So that is what makes this such a beautiful song. XOXO 😉💜😎 #NYGenXBIKERLady

I just love Rare Earth. In the early 70s they were must listening as you drove around in your car and got.......sssshhhh....high. Now don't tell anyone. My best friend used to drive his Mustang Boss around with me and we would turn the music up and get high (on life, of course). LOL.......he was also my first crush as I began to discover I wasn't straight. Rare Earth was a part of that awakening. Here's to muscle cars, cut off jeans, friendship, first crushes and rock n roll!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I was in high school when this was released. It's just as strong of a song today as it was then. As an over-the-road driver 1991-2018 I drove mainly at night and this was one of those songs that seemed to come at the right time when I needed some perking up and there wasn't anywhere to stop for a cup joe.

I love this song. More jubilant than Kool and The Gang's, "Celebration", and at the same time sarcastically ironic when you think about the lyrics. Nicely written! Listen to their ext re need cover of the Temptation's, " I'm Losing You!" ! Motown knew how to live record every one in the studio at the same session. With this song, you can feel the house is about to witness a huge paaarrr-taY!!!🥳

Always was cause for celebration when I saw them listed among the guests on the Midnight Special or maybe Don Kirschner's Rock Concert on a Friday night if I was home, or home early enough. The great, funky, percolating percussion assisted grooves, wah-wah guitar and soulful vocals ticked off a lot of marks or something on my checklist. Irresistible, not that you'd want to. 🔥🔥
