RARITY on the Mid Cheshire Line and a DOUBLE!!! 70811 & 70817 wtith Logs for CHIRK! 6th May 2024

Ай бұрынWe very rarely see the Carlisle to Chirk log train on the Mid Cheshire Line. It only comes this way, when it has been diverted due to the normal line being closed, and even then it's in darkness , late ar night.
First seen crossing the Viaduct at Northwich, is 66726 with the Biomass for Drax.Then less than 2 minutes later 70811 & 70817 pass in the opposite direction with the loaded logs. 6th May 2024

Excellent shots there Phil first up 726 and then as you say the double Colas Darth logs and yes very rare on the Cheshire lines, Kev caught them at Alti, and a great shot it was and i caught them at Levenshulme, without being bowled for once haha! As always awesome footage there, enjoyed cheers Nick.

Thanks Nick. 726 was a bonus. I first thought about going to Northwich station, but the biomass would have probably bowled me there. Seen Kev's video, will take a look at yours .

Great footage of this rarity, and how brilliant it was that it was double headed as well. I saw them at Delamere, they were making an absolutely fantastic noise as they passed
