I’ve said months ago that I never want to see Trashford. Or Martial in a Utd shirt again. It’s like playing with 10 men and that’s before all the other issues we see out on the pitch.

I’m trying to remember the last time I witnessed Rashford pass the ball to Hojlund. Rashford always seems to try and do everything on his own and often just loses the ball. Maguire was strong again defensively but his passing is poor and easily predictable. Casemiro seems to be a passenger in games and 3 steps behind everything. Garnacho and Mainoo need a rest but don’t know when that will be possible. Kambwala reminded the fans that he is young and still has a lot to learn. Onana seems to be growing with confidence even though the team is struggling. Hojlund looks despondent with the lack of service he is getting and AWB seemed to be unlucky with the decisions that were going against him.

I’m struggling with the dross we’re serving up, and I’m pulling my hair out at some of the constant lack of attitude and desire from a select few players that Ineos will hopefully move on (should be basics). However… who is available and an OBVIOUS improvement and almost ‘guarantee’ of success as a manager out there? The answer is 100% no-one. Of course someone might end up being amazing, but you can’t say that now with any conviction at all. He has 1 more year left - Ineos just need to continue the background rebuild, continue restructuring the playing squad as best as they can to FFP (or whatever it’s called now), and let’s see where we are at say January next year. I did think having a full week to train most weeks now, that we’d see an improvement in performance and playing style/patterns. However, I do feel ETH needs his main players back and say 2 or 3 new ones in to enable a psychological reset of the players mentality, as they seem to have accepted underachievement for this season now. 1 more season - or at least half the season - is a no-brainer for me. Buys Ineos time also to make changes, get the stadium good news story and vibe going, maybe announce another good news vibe with a new or improved training ground…. These things will lift the sense of gloom and also help ‘sell’ United to players we want to buy too. Afterall, a ‘resurgent, reawakening giant who will have a 90k+ brand new stadium and a brand new state of the art training ground’ is a nice selling aid for getting players through the door. Tbf before this season even started i didnt have any expectations other than the squad been improved ETH as made it about manchester united again not the player power we experienced i been a fan of 39 years, am surely not alone in thinking tbf hoping we get through this season keep ridding of deadwood and few more in and find an identity of sort .no european competition next season might help as more players HAVE been going than coming in it took klopp 5 years to build an identity and team winning mentality. Really tough afternoon. Felt bad for all the fans today: it was such a shitshow. Game felt like an alalgamation of all aspects of the previous crap performances rolled up into one game, featuring such classics as: getting done on the break over and over again, not looking like we have a scoobie what we’re doing, defensive mistakes, being unstable to create any chances for the striker, conceding 20 odd shots or more, the Marcus Rashford vanishing act, and very nearly the now obligatory concession of a last minute penalty against. It is just horrendous to watch. I’d almost go as far as to say that this is now as bad as what we saw under RR tbh.

Onana conceded two goals that de Gea would have saved. Stop making excuses for a bang average keeper who simply isn't good enough for United. Rashford only plays well when he has Shaw playing in support on the left flank. No Shaw, no Rashford. Shaw played most of last season and hardly any games this season, which mirrors Rashford's form. I know he also played games at CB, but Rashford needs a LB who overlaps to provide him with support and put defenders in two minds. On his own he is too easily contained.

If every game is a cup final and we play like that I hope we lose to Coventry not to see the destruction in the final!

If your keeper is facing the number of shots ours is the chance of letting a few in you are expected to save is going to be higher. ETH is doing himself no favours not changing anything and hoping these players will get it at some point. The notion that Dalot has had a good season is mad, he was awful in the champions league, properly awful. Beaten at the back post constantly. I was at the Fulham game, the worst player on the pitch. Shocking bad even. Against Chelsea he lets Madueke get a run on him and plays too high up when he just needs to keep his shape and not let him get beyond him. He's got forward and assisted a few goals/ scored a few. He is not defensive minded whatsoever. He wasn't good enough when he was loaned to inter Milan and still isn't good enough.

1. Keep Mainoo, Garnacho, Hojlund, Licha, Dalot, AWB, Onana, Bruno and Mount - the rest of them need to be sold or loaned out. 2. Along with above players, ETH has to go now.
