I've been living in Stockholm for a year now. Randomly, while walking to get groceries a few weeks back, I thought I recognized Slappee at a Cafe. "Surely not," I thought. This is a city with like a million people, there is no way I recognized someone from youtube. I probably stared a bit awkwardly as I walked past, trying to discern if it was indeed our fish boy or if I was making some unfair generalizations on a Standard-Issue Swede™. I'm not one to interrupt someone's meal and conversation, so I continued walking. A few minutes later, I hear someone running up behind me. "HEY!" They shout as I turn around. "DID...YOU... RECOGNIZE ME?!" Slappe shouted at me as he fought to catch his breath. He smelled like juniper and dalahest, I knew it was him. I managed to respond, "Oh yeah... I wasn't sure it was you but-" "DO YOU WANT MY AUTOGRAPH?" He interrupted me and produced a satchel of pens, several spilling onto the sidewalk. I stammered a bit and said, "Uhh no that's okay, I'm just on my way to get groceries, but it was really cool-" "LET ME SIGN YOU," Slappe cut me off again. I was beginning to get a bit scared; passersby were stopping to stare. I laughed a bit nervously, "Ha!, No thanks...uh I'm just gonna head to the store now, but enjoy your meal." I began to back away slowly, Slappe began shouting at the onlookers, "DO YOU WANT A PHOTO? I CAN GIVE YOU A SHOUT OUT ON THE NEXT VIDEO!" he yelled The crowd began to avoid eye contact and disperse, but Slappe kept pleading, "DOES ANYONE NEED A TRANSLATOR? I'LL SIGN ANYTHING!" I could hear him yelling for a few blocks before I made it into the store. Anyway, super chill guy, great meeting him.

been learning swedish for 2+ years, and visited stockholm for the first time with my family last week! i remembered distinctly you mentioning herman’s as a nice place to go for food, and woke up super early on my own to catch tunnelbanan from norrmalm to södermalm and took a long walk up fjällgatan while listening to your videos in my earphones :) i got in, walked down these super spooky stairs and first asked where the toilet was (in swedish!), and after promptly pooing, came back downstairs, propped my phone up at the table, grabbed some delicious food from the buffé, loaded your channel up and genuinely cried tears of joy while watching them :D you’ve been a really big part of my life over the past 1-2 years, and being able to genuinely experience the things i had only heard you speak of in the screen of my computer made me the happiest i’ve been in a very, very long time thanks for being so informative and funny, i’ll continue to watch your videos until i return to sweden for good :Dd

Weird how some people hate on him, he's very relatable with his dry humour and wittiness. And a completely normal looking person who doesn't seem like an asshole. Teeth: slightly crooked for sure but he would lose something if they were straight. Hair: moody and that's just how it is. Overall: he looks very nice and unique

Hate comments, for me, would be one of the perks of the job. They’re almost always unintentionally hilarious. Edit: To clarify, I think that most people dropping hate comments - when they’re serious and not trolls - are those who are mostly upset with themselves for lack of action on their own part (for example, watching instead of creating their own KZfaq channel), or jealous that you’re finding success. I'm really so confused what folks like that are doing with their lives, I have trouble even imagining the life of a hater, its just so so bewildering! Like what do they even do in life?
