Hey Julian! Do you still do a freelance translating work? Where can I get in contact with Swedish to English translation?

Here in my state in the USA we also had a system where you could only buy bottles of liquor alcohol from state owned stores, this finally changed only 13 years ago.

This is so interesting.. as a native English speaker, to be honest i kind of like it that other people xan just communicate in their native tongue and directly to each other without having to bother with English! Thats refreshing! And curious to see what translates to what directly, when its not forced through the medium of globalisation first. Also, your wall lights and hanging pot plant have a satisfying matching droopy swoop to them 😊 its nice 🥰

Like how one thing to do in Stockholm is to visit Upsala. Then why not also visit Sigtuna or Södertälje, two other small towns closer than Upsala.

I know it is off-topic but I was looking at the actress Salma Hayek, who is Swedish, but she looks really dark almost like she in Mexican. The same thing with a Swedish Hockey player they were interviewing on TV, and same with severa other Swedes. Is there a specific ethnic sub-group in Scandinavia who are dark-complected ?

Wow the dual earphone feature really is the biggest part of this, but I do agree I think it would be better to learn the languages.

I like your videos Fish Slappee, but having lives most of my life (which is longer than yours) in a country with the highest corruption rate in Europe, where the politicians not only bend the rules, but break them all the time and shamelessly, I must say that apart from the complaint about the housing market and darkness in winter, your problems are ridiculous first-world problems of a snowflake generation. Oh, you don't have a 24/7 shop, so you have to think ahead? The tragedy! Try living in a post-war society with almost no jobs, where nepotism rules and not qualifications and the pollution is so bad people develop respiratory problems. That will change your perception.

I think you might have missed my attempt at sarcasm at the end of the video (07:58) when I list the obvious life-changing positives of life in Sweden. It was a little reference to "what have the romans ever done for us?" by Monty Python. Of coure I am aware that Sweden, in most ways that actually matter, is one of the best countries to live in the world. Thanks for the comment!
@amalapremadd36438 күн бұрын
@@FishSlappee I love the Monty Python's! I think your sarcasm was more successful in other videos. Or maybe I am just partial to Sweden having just returned from a business trip to Stockholm. :) All those clean streets, fresh sea air and blonde Vikings :) :)

Funny thing for me looking at the Äppelviken houses. I grew up on the in rural Småland (southern Sweden) and I don't really think those houses look that fancy. Like people living in the first type of suburb could probably afford those types of houses where I grew up. Well, minus the private helicopters.

I am out of practice, having almost minored in Japanese in undergrad. I should have taken the JLPT then. Now, I don’t see it as worth it unless I could pass the N3. I am in the same position as you: my skill is between N4 and N3, though I may have some gaps you don’t. We studied the Genki series, which lines up as between due to it first being made when there were only four levels. I am glad they made it five, though, as it sounds like the difference between the old N3 and N2 was like crossing the pacific on a tug boat. Good lukc to you any anyone in the comments studying away.

Great video! I absolutely love the way you've narrated it - voice over and all. Truly light hearted, upbeat yet informative. I had heard about it before and have watched a couple of other videos about it, but yours is the first one that explained the origin of the steel penis. Probably about the only popular public event in the world where openly sucking dick is not only acceptable but is actually quite fashionable. 😉😊
