Ray would be an outstanding comptroller, maybe city manager. BUT, I’m not sure if you can be a successful mayor without some political savvy...and his Wall Street career was successful largely because he is eschewed politics. However, he is a God-fearing moral-driven individual. Actually met him at Merrill Lynch as an SEO intern...he’s a pretty cool brother. I wish him well...

I agree. Ray would also be a great city commissioner for either nyc dept. of finance, or the dept. of economic development. His ideas can still be implemented in those agencies and it would give him government experience

Mayoral candidate: What is community policing? Ok. If a crime is about to happen in the subway for example. And grandma is the only one that can intervene to stop the mugger with the gun, then she is required to “arrest” the criminal before he has a chance to commit the crime. If, for whatever, grandma does not stop the crime she will be brought in for questioning with the possibility of fines and imprisonment. That is community policing. It will work!! I promise!!!

@@matthewrios3241 NYC actually needs a more business savvy person in charge right now to restore it in a way that it will progress and not just revert back to the DeBlasio nightmare. Also this city needs to have more opportunities for minority and low income communities which is something he is bringing up for the first time seriously. That is the reason why I am more inclined to give him and Yang a chance rather than the others and I am not even a Democrat.

@@snoopyshultz The way I see it is, no matter who you get onto office no matter who promises change Change won't occur within the same system that suppresses your involvement and input, the same structure that pays their bills are still in place, you'll get the same result no matter who we vote into office In order for real change to occur with black people, black people must have a political party that they pay for, therefore if they go off script We can fire them, if they stand for something we don't agree with we can pull their coat tail, it's very easy But black folk can't come together so you are bound to keep repeating the same mistakes
