I adore RWH!!! Check out “Drunken Poet’s Dream” or “Mother Blues”. To talk on his commentary about the A&R machine turning out music…the only band I’ve heard do that right is Midland. Check out “Burn Out” or “Drinkin Problem” by them.

had friends that lived in texas and me and another friend traveled from minnesota and iowa to visit them and on the trip down there we had this song cranked up on the radio! my friend is a big fan of his

You should really listen to Tammy Wynnett's "Till I Get By" live. I thinks it's the best song she ever wrote/sung. I believe it concerns her X George Jones.

Que bueno Don! Just an observation Ray’s best songs Up Against The Wall Choctaw Bingo Snake Farm Chick Singer are all simply answers to the question, “Hey Ray Wylie!” “What’d ya do this weekend?” Rock on Brother!

Choctaw bingo was written by james mcmurtry . But I like Ray's version better.

@@johnmanley9485 Thanks for the reminder. I did listen to McMurtry's version. It was "good" but I can SEE being in a Ford Country Squire wagon with Ray & the kids barreling across Oklahoma.
