Few things to note: Fast charging is actually faster than on the Razer Marketing materials, it's more like ~50mins for a full charge. One thing I did not mention is 3 years warranty for the mouse, which I feel is important for a mouse of this price.

Been looking for a replacement for my superlight as its been slightly faulty since day 1, I knew nothing really about the best options 2 days ago.. Thanks for the high quality videos with a REAL in-depth and thought out review, super informative and I love the graphs with performance statics too.. It's made it very easy for me to compare some of the best options and decide on a new mouse to buy. Even though I've bought a new mouse I'll continue watching your content because you've made me interested in this topic as a whole. I can't find a logical reason why they made those giant holes in the hump and m1 and m2 buttons, but didn't make a single one in the base.

Base is plastic, having holes on plastic would've prolly got the structural integrity to a level that they were not comfortable with. The thing with magnesium is that you can have a smuch holes as you want, but the shell is still stong af!

This guy's voice volume and expression when he speaks is almost identical in each sentence. It's so weird once I noticed I can't take it out of my head. He starts a sentence with a higher pitch and by the end of the sentence his voice goes really low frequency. I mean, most people do this but this guy takes it to another level. Also, mouse is ridiculously priced and probably not even good grade magnesium alloy, hence the weight. I would guess it's really high aluminum percentage in the alloy. Good content!

Its a cool rodent. But i think being cool is its primary function. Im happy they are not limited production. Im happy with the x2 mini for now. But it would be awesome to have a steel mouse. Thanks for the video haus

Hi I just found your channel and it’s amazing. I have a question tho, I’m and old school gamer who just bought a new PC and haven’t played anything for 7 years time. My favorite mice was Zowie EC1 and Razor deathadder because I have small hands. What would you recommend for me now?

I had the sticky feeling on my tenz mouse too, I took it apart and I found there was a piece of black cloth tape on m1 button, I took it off and cleaned it with alcohol and it feels perfect now.

Nice video as always. Btw regarding the starlight issue you have its fixable just by wiping the click post with alcohol pad as there is some glue residue on it i had when my copy was new. And about the warranty as it was explained to me by finalmouse support if you are original owner of the mouse you dont pay anything for shipping it to them or shipping back or the repair if its manufacter issue like this one, wasnt sure about how they brand the return package so i dont have to pay customs twice tho so i fixed it myself.

Thats weird, I had the issue when it was new and then again when i played little bit with tensioning and pretravel where i had to soak the overclick pads in alcohol for them to stop sticking, but its finalmouse so its possible there is smth else wrong with it

the reason its 320 euro is tax is included in the eu in your prices. The us prices don't include any tax so most of the cost increse comes from that. There does appear to be a lighty euro tax to it but its not as much as it first appears.

Yeah, but not every product is priced like that between regions. For example GPX is available with the same price in EU and US, and DAV3 Pro is for example 150 bucks and 160 euros

Have multiple Starlights and am actually doing the Razer 4K Mod so I have absolutely no reason to get this but man it has to be in the collection!

All I can say is, that this mouse is a good product with the wrong price. This mouse with a solid plastic shell at max. 140€ would be perfect. More than 140€ is just madness, even if the tech and performance are top notch.

my finalmouse cost me 188€ but that will also depend a lot on how this €-$ conversion is, finalmouse sells in limited quantity they are a much smaller company. Here in Portugal with 320€ you buy an xbox plus an AAA game, I think it should be much cheaper given the size of the company RAZER (max 220€ which is 60€ more than a v2pro with 4khz dongle)

Hoping they do a version of the viper mini Wireless which uses AA's/AAA's like the Orochi V2 and sell it around $60-70 , knowing that the wired Viper mini can be bought at $20-$25 consistently.

Will never happen. AA batteries add too much weight. And it is a waste of time to keep replacing them. Lithium ion better in every way

at least this mouse looks to be better than Finalmouse, for the price. but it is still a Razer mouse, i cant stand their software. i can appreciate this mouse from a distance because it shows how far the technology and research has come, and more of what we can expect in the future... hopefully at a better price :D lol but if you dont mind haus i have an off topic question: i recently got an x2 Mini and i need a bit more stopping power to really get the most out of my aim. im currently on an esp tiger eba and play on medium sens would the LGG Venus or LGG Saturn (Nacho customs only one available) be a better option, or would you have a further recommendation? appreciate all you do and congrats again on the Voltaic partnership :)

i don't understand why it is called the viper mini, the shape is not the same of the viper and that is a huge miss in my opinion since the viper is a replacement for the fk1, i thought it would be logical that the mini would be a replacement for the fk2, but it does not have the same low profile as the regular viper, huge miss by razer in my opinion.

I don't trust pricey mouses after my 2 superlights have lasted about 9 months each due to doubleclicking, I just don't think any mouse lives up to the price in quality.

In all out full use yes, but most of the time you are not moving the mouse with a velocity which would make the mouse hit 8KHz, so how much it affects battery life is down to your CPI and how much you actually game!

@@hausgaming it would still always be doing 8k for click latency though right. I just know my viper V2 at 4k barely lasts 2 days of heavy use (mostly work during the day gaming at night) at 1600 cpi

No correction there’s already a 8khz mouse by Razer I have it. it’s the Viper 8khz it’s actually really responsive and pinpoint accurate but wish the mouse was more comfortable after 3 hours your wrist will start to hurt that’s why I got a Logitech superlight feels good for my hand just recently purchased the ROG Harpe

Personally I just really don't like the holes. Felt like Razer has turned a new leaf with releasing products that consumers actually want, so this design came as a surprise to me. Wish they could've just put a shell without holes that weighed a little more. Wouldn't have minded a less premium unboxing experience for a lower price too.

I know it was a labor of love they say, but still really hard pill to swallow hitting order on a $280 mouse that is not drastically beyond all other offerings. The upcoming pulsar lineup with 8k wired 4k wireless are looking really tempting

As someone who tried the viper mini and didn't really like it enough to main it, I think it's so tragic that Razer has known and admitted that viper mini fans just want viper v2 pro (or whatever the name is)/ dav3 internals in the viper mini shell but they chose to release a super expensive and premium version of their budget, more niche? mouse. I guess making it in the first place could just be a way to show off their cool tech but I would argue that releasing this as the first wireless version of the viper mini without what they know most fans actually want is because they know that this wasn't what people wanted. It clearly wouldn't sell as well if there was a more reasonable product.

i feel like having a "premium unboxing experience" is very tone deaf in this day and age. what with the environmental implications. It can become very wasteful. i would favor buying products from companies that have eco-friendly packaging.

I'm going to push back on what Kendric said about the packaging. I'm not saying a product has to have wasteful or elaborate packaging, but at least a proper and premium friction-fit box is less wasteful in its reusability. I have multiple mice and for example my Viper Ultimate's box was so useless I tossed/recycled it and store the mouse in a Ziploc bag when not in use. In contrast, my GPX and X2 have thick, durable friction fit boxes that are infinitely reusable and protect the mouse if I travel with it. TL;DR - less initial box material does not necessarily mean the packaging is more environmentally friendly.

Razer employee here. Not entirely sure what exact there criteria here for "eco-friendly" is, but the packaging is made from sustainable/recycled materials, printed material uses soy ink and so on. Even our regular (non-signature) mice have got rid of plastic from their packaging a couple of years ago and have FSC certification. We spend a lot of time and money on sustainability efforts, and it increases our unit-costs as well, but it largely goes unnoticed. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
