Just got into the aggressive skating scene. I still skateboard but when I rode these razors cult for the first time I instantly fell in love with inline skating. Taking the skill from skateboarding I was immediately able to grind and jump and man I’ll tell u I haven’t had that much fun in a long time. The affordable razors cult was the way to go for me. Next pair Ill be upgrading to THEM 909’s. I’m totally addicted to the scene. I’m 23 and wish I started earlier.

I started inline skating months after a nasty skateboarding inquiry on my left ankle. My girlfriend got me into it and it's served me as physical therapy for my ankle. One year and still healing, but I can inline and have lots more fun than I ever did skateboarding. I just got into it and I'm 24. Currently waiting on my agressive skates. I got into freeskating/wizards but I'm still a novice at that. Wish I got into it as a kid. Used to hate it cuz I used to just fall on my butt and it was painful.

I guess I lucked out getting a pair of Cult Whites a few months back lol Heres a story 27 years old I finally decided to stop thinking skating looked cool and finally get a pair and learn to skate. Unfortunately, because I have big feet finding aggressive boots in my size looked either impossible or way too expensive. Until I got a pair brand new from a small shop at a decent price, knowing nothing about skates and whether they were good or not. All I knew was that they were a few years old and trying to find information on those skates is how I found this channel and I'm on my way to being a wheel addict.

Chrisjrch good effort mate! I scored my Cult Creams 2nd hand(new cond) and my skating experience has started exactly the same way even regarding larger skate size I'm short also so I'm like a hobbit trying to skate in heavy clown shoes atm :) I actually bought some 1990's Bauer Civility's first they are to big and I think quite rare?so I only skated them once before saving more money for the Razors...hope your enjoying the sport as much as me mate 🤟🍻

Got a pair as my first inline skates. I'm 23 and I rollerskate recreationally with quads. Needless to say, I found them so much easier to ride and they're confidence inducing! I even managed to drop in to a mini ramp (while holding onto someone), on quads I would never do that!

Alright so here’s my “review”. These were my first pair of skates because they had a good price. I now have the Sam Crofts and m12’s. During the first 2 weeks of skating, I got really really bad shin bruises because of the skate. It got to the point where I had to take a break for 2-3 weeks. To this day I’m not sure why because I never had the cuff super tight. The next thing was that I couldn’t push and get full strides when ever skating. The skates plastic would always touch the ground and the skate would slip. Never had this problem with any other skates. After a while, the liner got really uncomfortable in the toes. The straps broke after about 2 weeks and they would no longer lock so I’d wouldn’t lock them. The wheels were worn down super super quickly. I skated these for about two months everyday and the soul plate is basically round. These I would very much recommended as beginner skates because of the price. Learning basic tricks on these are no problem. But after a while i definitely recommend buying new skate if you decide to continue with aggressive skating. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

@@OkOk-pj6jt aeons are great but they get a little slow after a while. M12,s are currently my favorite skate. i also really liked skating them 909's. if youre looking to stick with razors, i would skate the razor SL's

I have tried so many skates the past two years and I keep coming back to cults. It's the best skate for me and my foot. So comfortable, very light, not bulky, not as stiff as other Razors, and very fast soles.

My first (and only) pair of skates are these, just got into blading a month ago and I'm really enjoying them. The original surface I was practicing/learning on was quite rough so wore down the stock wheels quite quickly. Changed to the Ground Control CM 60mm 90a wheels and they felt really good. Haven't warmed up to grinds yet, so ended up getting a flat frame setup for 80mm wheels on Seba SX UFS frames and really enjoying the different feeling I'm getting out of the same boot and needed something with bigger wheels we getting about the city. I've got a wide foot though, so it gets a little uncomfortable after 20 minutes or so, and the seam on the tongue of the liner has popped out a bit, but hasn't effected anything so far really. All in all enjoying my first time skating experience and loving this community :) Love your videos Ricardo! (also great to hear from someone that has tried a lot of skates is also having a good experience on them, helps me know I made a good choice haha)

Hey how'd you find these with big wheels? Some people say Street skates aren't great with big wheel frames, but it'd be much more convenient than having two pairs of boots.

@@JR-mr1tw yea I can see what they’re getting at, due to the width of the soul plates, on the bigger wheels you hit the side of your boot against the ground. But honestly didn’t find it to be much of a problem. I am actually thinking though of getting another pair of skates though. Reason being is to have one that is focused on an urban skate setup and another one focused for aggressive. Switching frames is easy enough to do, but it can take a bit of time and I notice that I keep thinking it’s be easier to just pick up the pair of skates I’d prefer to take that day. So the conclusion I’d say is, yes it does work, and really enjoyed it giving me the experience on big wheels, but mentally it made a friction point to switch between the different frames and I found I just wouldn’t switch frames. End of the day though, try and give the big wheels ago in general and see if that’s right for you, and how you want to access that big wheel experience.

@@JR-mr1tw 2 pairs of skates is a good middle ground (a bit like having 2 motorbikes, 1 for highways and 1 for off-road). I currently love my 110mm triskate + aggressive combo. Depends if I feel more like listening to techno or old school hip-hop I'd say xd Cause at the end of the day there's a reason why skates are built different (aka physics). With something like those Razors Cult and Roces EGO 3X110 you could have 2 super sweet setups for not too much money.

The Reign V2 liners are perfect in these. Since the V2 is not VCut it gives you the protection you need. Love my Cult 5's with my Reign V2 liners and my Cult 4's with MyFit Eisler Liners.

The skate I've been using since middle of last year, they do feel good! Fast as you say, ended to getting some Paramount abec 9 bearings, bit faster and smoother. But now that the new majestics are out...... 😁

First pair of aggro skates i ever had were Razor juniors cus i was 9. Then as i got older n had my growth spirt i had the Max Elliot Pro 2's n they were my favorite pair i ever had. Im actually researchin skates right now to get back into it cus god i miss it its been like 10yrs since i skated

Amazing fix for the soulplate surface is slap som ssm souls on it a size down shave the heel notch and light dremeling and you have a solid skate

I have a lot of gaps in between my soleplates and the boots, it seems a like the grind plate is making them not fit great. I tightened everything but still seems like the boot and grind plates don’t fit perfectly.

Hi Ricardo, I have these skates. The skate and the frame are good, but I’m surprised you were happy with the wheels. In a few sessions the wheels already broke down. I got new wheels, thanks to Ivo from thisissoul skateshop, but the same thing happened again. I have other wheels now and no complaints anymore. BR Niels

I’ve been on thrones since I was 15 I’m 35 now and switched to razor sl after seeking all my thrones and took a 2 year break. The razor sl is by far my favorite now

Heh.. I generaly dont bash on companies for making skates but.. I ordered a pair of aeons team le like a good month ago. Did a couple of sessions and the liner just gave up, without even having them fully tightened. The issue was quality (controll), or a lack of it i guess. The spacer where the cuff attaches to the shell were apparently inserted wrong. I tried switching them left to right, but that didnt help; it just sticks out good 2mm axactly where my ankle bone is. Now with a decent liner that wouldnt deform itself as much itd be ok. But the liner they ship with is just a literal piece of plastic leather glued to some foam. It deformed from a "hmm ok-semi-decent-liner" into something I cannot even skate with. I remember the same kind of liner being used pre 2000s on something like M12. Those roces liners lasted years - and they were not made that much different. But el cheapo foam in these new aeons is just crap. After 2, 3 weeks theres literally no foam around my ankle, so i need a 2 week rehab everytime i skate them. Ordered a new liner but after watching this review and the m12 with the alu frame, makes me just want to order another pair. I cannot send those back as i needed to try them out in a park. Who takes back a pair of skates after theyve been grinded no waranty for grind heads :D

I have the razors cult gold and i ride them since six months, everything is ok for the price except the liner. I have bad times with it, and it started to be realy painfull after three weeks, so they are only good brand new. So yeah nice old classic boot but realy bad liner ! Ps: thanks for your videos and what you do for the agressive inline community ! Inline skating is not dead ;) !

Yes it's a flt3. If you create some wheel wells you can go even bigger with that frame. The only pain with that soul is the heel comes down right where your wheels are.

Olá, Ricardo! I got a pair of Razors Cult Coppers that I've used at our local skate park last year. I was wondering if you had some ideas for how to make my Cult Coppers more comfortable. On my Cult Coppers, the front bolt plates under the insole actually push up and put pressure on the balls of my feet. The bolt plates are under the insoles that are under my liners - similar to the stiff ones you show in your video under the Gold liners. My liners do not have separate insoles and don't really have room for insoles. Believe me, I've tried adding insoles! Made my feet feel like they were on fire! The front pressure points are annoying at best and hurt my feet at worst. I actually cannot skate on my Razors all that long because of this problem - which makes me sad, because I was really hoping to learn and enjoy aggressive skating. Do you have any suggestions for what I could do, or a better liner that could fix the problem? Like the Cult Golds, my Cult Coppers have a cheap, not-really-all-that-great liner, especially at the bottom. Thanks! I'd say that in Portuguese, but I don't know how. ; )

I skate Cult Coppers too. If you're talking about the UFS frame receptor, Ive found that it helps to have the flat part facing the inside and the rounded parts facing out (towards toe and heel). They will also drive down into the plastic after some use. The stock liner made the skate almost unusable for me because of pressure points. After 20 mins in the skate my feet would be killing me. Because it's a narrow boot, I bought some MyFit 2nd Skin liners and it works wonderfully. I can't feel the pressure against the top of the boot, in my toes, or the receptors in the bottom of the skate. I HIGHLY suggest the 2nd Skin for the Cult boot!

Yes because the wheels are so small and there are really only 2 because of the antirocker. But you might be able to buy the boot and put a different frame and wheels on it for your purposes but i am not sure, i will find out and get back to you

Im back from the future. 1 it is definitely a mistake to get this if you want speed and you aren’t interested in aggressive, however if you really wanna put the effort in, you can buy the boot only of this skate then get a USF frame for big wheels (like something that can fit 4x80 and it has to be a usf frame) and get some 80mm 85a wheels and put it together yourself. This will probably be more expensive than just buying 1 skate

The razors in my opinion is the icon of street skates, even i watch the videos, i feel the quality, the aggressive style, and this concept bit easy the others but honestly, this concept of souplate pieces, is too old, is not a flush design, looks trouble in the future with punchs, grinda etc, anyway, unique pieces is the future, and roces and usd show this for us this last years. Razors growing up, the shift model is an big example, i expect something this year.
