The knowledge, experience and information you share with others on KZfaq concerning RC Helis is the best bar none!!!Thanks for all the time, effort and attention to details. Thanks for sharing and revealing information that allows and permits others to become and perform great in the hobby and sport of flying, maneuvering and manipulating RC Helis in the air.

I have outgrown 6axis quadcopters and I've got the basics of orientation. I'm currently flying in a simulator with CP helis and your videos help out sooo much. I can actually practice with structure. If only real school was this rewarding.

Great lessons!!! Thank you. Got a coaxial indoor heli a month ago and got HOOKED. Got Pheonix and a Blade mcpx v2 and got it upside down confidently 3 weeks into this great hobby. Your lessons have helped a lot. I look forward to mastering each level. And... then for all the same inverted. Joy joy.

Thank you so much for these lessons! I've always wanted to fly RC helicopters since I was a child, but was always told that "it was too hard", and discouraged - I ended up racing RC cars instead. During this lockdown I've decided to really spend time learning something I've always wanted, and have been using a blade nano s2, and a simulator to get to grips with things. This series of videos has been an amazing learning tool. Now I'm starting to get to grips with the Nano I can't stop grinning, it's a wonderful feeling. Thank you so much for these videos!

one other thing my local hs has a raptor 30 v2 it looks nice and clean just needs a reciever and il have to get stuff for the motor. does that sound good. I did want to get a 550x but I think a fuel heli wuld be easier on the wallet I wont have to buy a bunch of 6s 5000ma packs

I know this video is old, but so am I and yet brand knew to flying. I have been struggling to just hovering and then crashing. I use AccuRC for the simulator and today I am so discouraged that I may throw In the towel on the whole thing. I will give it a while more since I spent so much on my M1 and M2 plus the TX16S and simulator.

i can fly my nanocps all night in the livingroom in nice circles and small 8ts I can flip my 450x in real life and fly inverted I can fly my 180cfx back and fourth fast speed but I cant seem to even do a simple circle on phoenix sim I cant even do a simple tail figure 8. I decided to watch what your doing with the sticks. not sure what difference it makes to which model your flying on the sim. I like the threedee henselite ? not sure if I spelled it right. also I noticed after scaling up the helis they seem to fly more like the real thing also makes it easier to see. I have 50+ year old eyes not the greatest. thanks for theese videos they are really helpfull.

Hi Freddy, I am starting with helis now. How many did you crash before being able to do this?
@33forsaken

Honestly I did not crash to many times, I spent a lot on the sim and learning the setups. I did not really start crashing much until I got into the 3d aspect lol.

Forgive me for asking what may be a daft question, but are these flight lessons created using a simulator or are they filmed using a real heli? If it is is using a sim, can you tell us if it is available to purchase?

Yes this and my new series is filmed using an rc sim, but I will be mixing in live flights as well. I use AccuRc and you can get it from the Steam app :)

Freddy, can I ask how many hours it took for you to get this good? I've spent 150 hours on a sim and I still can't do all of these. Sometimes I feel like I'm progressing backwards. I'm so frustrated.

Just an idea; if there are any set up requirements for the sim itself, can you explain them. I don't understand why my helis skid around everywhere. I can fly real models reasonably well for a beginner!

I have exactly the same problem, but what it does for me, is when I train Sim, it's SOE hard, but that can still help a lot to keep practice, for you get fast better and when you take your Chopper to IRL flight, it will be SOE much easier (Not to say it is easy to fly Choppers, it's a long process) than the simulator. Also, the small once, like a Blade 230 S, will be VERY hard to hoover with, but when you really put some hours into it and you go out, it will go much easier. So the Sim is actually a bit harder than reality and you can crash as you like and a new is there after 1 sec. When flying IRL it gets scary because of the price if you crash, and you can fast get bad habits in a Sim, but all in all, for guys like Alan Szabo, there use this very Sim for many 1000 hours. It's always easier to fly a 500-700, with or without bars, they are not skittish but do not be fooled. This is NO toy. Stray your neck artery with your blade and you are dead in 8 sec. SO, never fly alone (not that it matter if a throat artery gets opened, but too many think these are toys, and yet it will easily kill a person and have so with many in RC Chopper flying) ...
@michaelfrandsen5200
@michaelfrandsen5200 5 жыл бұрын
DID you just smash your Chopper just to show a point??????? Or was it an accident? I just wonder if you maybe have really many Choppers, for if you made a crash just to show what happens in a circle with too much Aileron and crash, I'm really amazed. But boy you fly well. I'm glad I have started taking your lessons :) But did you Crash it on purpose?
