When one has CPTSD from a family experience, we better say we are fine because normal people don't want to hear the real issues

The only caution I would share is the word "normal". I have CPTSD, but I do not consider myself "abnormal". Nor do I consider my family members "normal".

I wish I heard this stuff 15 years ago. I just got out of a relationship with a psychotically narcissistic girlfriend. And wound up with another that ruined my life.

I've been in counselling for complex trauma for 3-4 years and I am stuck feeling like I'm never going to have a real relationship. All my life, I've been told I'm not good enough, I'm ugly, and I ended up in an abusive marriage where all 3 of my kids are damaged and 2 of them àre holding me to ranson. I am alone and I fear that I'll never experience a safe relationship with another man. I'm 61, and others tell me that I shouldn't expect that. God should be all I need.

Thank you for sharing your struggles, I'm so sorry to hear about the lies you've been told. You are worth every bit of your existence. "God should be all that I need" is not a fact. Hopefully that helps. We are all wired to crave connection. So we need to have strong, healthy relationships with ourselves and with others. I encourage you to watch other videos on my channel about Connection, Attachment and Shame. Otherwise check out timfletcher.ca to see if there are any resources that you may find helpful, we are always adding more.

Is it right to left instead of left to right😮 O don't get a traumatic Brain injury! Some countries write right to left instead of left to right. I think they made the emojis that go in and out of the hole 🕳️ right to left.🐛🕳️🐛

What a cruel, sick joke that most of our mental health ecosystem relies on other people
