About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners. Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): " Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. [The 1st Bassist of the band was Sami Vanska, he was with them until 2001. The 2nd one was Marco Hietala, as Bassist and vocals, since 2001 to 2020. He recently announced his retirement both from the band and the public life for the next year at least - we'll see what the future brings to us. Welcome to Nighwish. Toumas the keyboardist is the genius behind pretty much all of Nighwish music. When you get to hear more, I believe you will become to appreciate just how professionally talented everyone is in this band and that Tuomas is right up there with the best composers that have ever lived. All Nightwish songs are different from each other with surprises within each. They take you on a journey. In your search for their songs to react to be aware that they have had three lead singers since 1996. Floor became an official member in 2013. So, if you're looking for more Floor songs keep that in mind. She is my favorite all time singer and I've been around for 78 years. Only two of their songs require some research before reacting to understand the context. In a nutshell, The Greatest Show on Earth is about evolution (Tampere) and The Poet and the Pendulum (Wembley), which is very personal to Tuomas founder/composer/keyboards. The song is about the deep depression he went into because of the huge fan backlash after he fired the first singer in the band. Both these songs plus GLS make up an epic trifecta. 😊🤘

Great reaction. Floor Jansen is a vocal athlete with incredible range, versatility, vocal stamina, and stage presence. She is a spinto soprano with a range of around four octaves +. When listening to Floor sing, it is apparent that she has spent the better part of her life fine-tuning her instrument with help from several vocal coaches. Floor can sing in multiple languages and genres, and is a Master vocal coach. She often refers to herself as a vocal nerd. It is incredible how she is able to take any song from any genre and make it her own. This woman is a true gift to her craft and an incredible addition to a band that has always been great until 2013 when they officially hired the undisputed Queen of Metal, Floor Jansen, making Nightwish the greatest band on the planet. Thank you for this awesome reaction. Metal music is one of the most diverse genres. It has many subgenres and this here is symphonic metal. The genre is known for it's arrangements, due to the classical elements that comes with. A band might even come with a symphonic orchestra in some bigger venues. Nightwish is one of the bands that defined the genre in the early 90's, with bands like Epica, Within Temptation or Therion. There are more songs with this caliber, so enjoy the journey.

Ghost Love Score is a beautiful musical story, I believe it's about losing your innocence, and your childhood dreams about love, when you make love for the first time. Welcome to NW SLC, i saw that you were very impressed by the frontwoman of the Finnish Symphonic Metal band Nightwish Floor Jansen (Dutch). Yes she is incredible. 10 Months earlier she came as a substitute for Anette Olzon, who became sick in the middle of a world tour and had to goo to the hospital. NW called Floor and she said yes. She had to learn the setlist in 48 hours (there is a documentary about that) and did this on the flight from the Netherlands to Salt Lake City, where she joined the band on their way to Seattle for the next concert. GLS wasn't even on the list, but because she loved this song so much, NW put it on the list. The last part of the song, the previous singer(s) didn't do, so she made it her own, with as result 10 months later at Wacken 2013 this MASTERPIECE. When she belt so high, you get shiversor goosebumps we call that a FLOORGASM. Congrats with your first one. The idea behind the show is that they invite 7 vocalist from different genre's and each episode one of them is at the center of attention. Her last name is pronounced as: Yahn-Sen, so you did well). Although the band is Finnish their 3rd female vocalist isn’t, she is Dutch. Floor was born on Februari 21st, 1981 in Goirle the Netherlands. At the age of 16 she started her career as (initially) just as background singer from the Dutch metal band ‘After Forever’ in 1997 but real soon she took over the lead until early 2009 and the band fell apart. Parallel she studied at the Dutch Rock Academy in Tilburg starting in 1999 where she graduated in 2003 and spent two years on classical training with the National Conservatory. She studied Musical Theatre and one year Opera. She plays guitar, piano and flute and has completed 12 years of music studies. She’s a Light Lyric Soprano and her vocalrange runs from E3 to D6.
