The album was released in two versions, one with GTFO and one with Beggars Day because Walmart wouldn't sell it with GTFO on it. The Skids got banned for life from Wembley Stadium for playing GTFO in 1991.

Hi Sarah. I am glad you'll be doing GTFO with Mudkicker in another review. I have to be honest, that in my opinion GTFO is a bloody good song, but the sweariness probably did sound cleverer when I was 15 than it does now. That said ...... hearing Beggar's Day when I am listening to the album instead of GTFO always throws me for a loop and it has hampered my appreciation of Beggar's Day. It has always felt like an interloper at a family party and this hasn't been fair to the song. Beggar's Day is a really, really good song and I enjoy it now almost as much as the others. I say almost because truthfully I still think it is the weakest song on the album, and was left off the main release for a reason. I hasten to add that I say this not because I am so invested in GTFO that I can't see past it, because honestly in hindsight GTFO was the weakest song on the album anyway, and Beggar's Day is only just marginally less impressive/dynamic/bombastic(?). Beggar's Day would be a great song for most bands and would be the best song on Skid Row's disappointing 3rd album. Unfortunately, or fortunately for us, Skid Row made an absolute classic album with STTG. The quality and dynamism of the songs and musicianship is relentless. I have heard countless albums that are touted as best thing ever and a very very small number can actually match this one for setting the bar high early and constantly either maintaining it or surpassing that standard throughout. Brilliant work. Livin' on a chain gang is a perfect example of that. I mean what can I say. Mere words don't seem to do justice to the song, the vocals, the guitars and the drums (often overlooked - but Rob could certainly play!) This whole album is as close to perfection as it is possible to get! 10/10 I really enjoyed your video Sarah, hope your trip is going well. See you next time!⛓⛓⛓🤘🤘

Beggar’s Day wasn’t just on the Japanese version. It was on the cassette I bought in '91 when it came out. Wasn’t until years later I learned about "Get The F**k Out". I think my version was technically the edited version. (🤮) Beggar’s Day is a superior track anyway. Chain Gang is my 2nd fave next to Quicksand Jesus. Gets stuck in my head CONSTANTLY. I’m so glad you’re as shell shocked by this album as I was (and still am). Looking forward to the rest and hopefully album #3. Great stuff, as always! Horns up!

Listen to Quicksand Jesus by them....... You ain't the best rock vocalist unless you can best Sebastian on this song. Everything in his arsenal is in this song.
