I've watched a number of reactions to this song, and what no one is catching is that Angelina is consciously using her platform to deliver a gentle moral message. Listen to how she switches from "I" to "you"... She understands she is inside the listener's head, and when she sings, "I want to love the person looking back at me", for that moment, it is the voice of the listener's mind saying those words. This song has depth that people don't realize.

Actually Angie made a new genre her patented Jazzy/pop. Her Angie style. Lets get out there & promote Angie's song, ask for it on your local radio stations, tell friends, relatives & neighbors etc etc, or it will end up like her last great single. etc. Angie wrote this & Stargate produced this. Angelina said it herself. “Life has ups and downs, and you always have to be ready for whatever is coming up. Nate, IMO, Angelina succeeded in creating a new genre by incorporating elements from jazz, blues and pop. The most fascinating and fun aspect of Angelina’s genius level musical talents is that she does keep surprising us. It’s the unpredictability that keeps us on our toes and loving what she created. As far as I’m concerned she’s just the most phenomenally gifted musical talent to come along in a very long time.

Nate, I have come to the conclusion that Angelina is genre fluid. She can sing electrical wiring diagram instructions, have us on the edge of our seats and leave us breathless. It is no more a little seducing girl singing old songs like no one else before her. The soulful Angelina is emerging, the one who was born to sing jazz. She shines with her stunning vocals, her raspy dry tones, her multiple sound effects, like here, equipped with three voices and one assertive spirit! With 7th Heaven, she brings us back to the 40s and the 50s. Very minimalist arrangements, finger snaps, amazing vibrating bass, but, boy, her vocal effects are out of this world. Too short and very hard to sing the way she conceived it, the song synchronizes us (willfully?) with Peggy Lee' and Elvis Presley' Fever, isn'it? Certainly worth staying awake for. Our barefoot princess has written a jazz masterpiece with a lot of soul and a touch of pop. The lyrics are outstanding, providing a positive message that we have to live with hope (while are too many have been conditioned to live in fear). I love Angelina's music more than I can express.

Now we know for a certainty that Angelina is not going to abandon her jazz roots! She is staying true to her early influences like Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, and Amy Winehouse. There's no mistaking the artist singing this song. Angie has forged a unique style and sound over many years, regardless of the genre, regardless of the song. It's her! I can't wait to see a live performance of this, and also so many of her greatest to come. Angie's my daily dosage since I found this treasure in 2015. Nate, I first listened to this about 3:00am this morning! I was so anxious to hear it I woke up early to see if it was on the computer and I rushed to the computer in my pajama's and, THERE IT WAS! Musically, the combination of her voice with the overall production of the sound was fantastic. The message was very personal and she wants us to know that uncertainty makes the road ahead cloudy and she needs to understand and believe in herself how to cope with life's bouncing ball. With the support around her and the love from all of her "Angels" we will do our best to be with her during her journey and mission to spread love around the world.
