Nice to see you back reacting to Angelina. Many of us, older Angelina fans, would love for her to keep singing jazz clasic and older songs. We have to understand that if she wants to make it big in today's music scene she has to start singing songs that are appealing to a younger audience. Lately she has been singing some short versions of great songs on tik tok. Also the Christmas Concert shows that song wise and personality wise she is still the Angelina of old, just that she is now a teenager. I start thinking this story is about Angelina. She's telling the story to her friends at home, at work, at the bar, and it's not her son. Not logical, but she's so believable and captivating in her storytelling. That studio is avail for rent in LA. Her manager uncle Michael got it for her and did this one in the various color rooms, and Yesterday in the yellow room. There's another video where she walks through the rooms singing and you see other colors. Great personal story! You have really good insights and the comments where you claim to be struggling for words seemed very clear and original and made perfect sense. Don't worry about having any negative thoughts or feelings about an Angelina performance. Many of her TikTok or IG videos are just snippets to try things out and see what kind of responses they get. Sometime they graduate to a studio production. Republic is allowing her a lot freedom to test the waters and expand her horizons just to see where her imagination takes her. I wasn't going to watch your video but after seeing Chris's where he talked about you and other true Angelina reactors I hit PLAY. Very glad I did. We share some very similar views on song choices and styles. At my age I've gotten used to hearing so many songs a certain way and suddenly AJ bounces in and interprets Natural Woman in a totally new way but after the 3rd listen it is the new standard. First of all, "Hello Shannon!" It's a nice story how the both of you got together again. Enjoy each other. Nate, what a captivating one way conversation you had with all of us. Really! Your honesty was touching to say the least. If you can, incorporate the way you feel about Shannon into everything you do. Another words, let your heart guide you. Your heart will recognize when you are in a "good spot". If you're in a not so good spot your heart will relinquish it's role and pass it on to your brain to figure out what to do next. What you said about Angelina was the first time I have ever heard anyone express their feelings about her the way you did. Many of her fans (angels) might have some of the same thoughts you have had but never publicly talk about them. It's as if that is a "don't go there" moment. But, don't misunderstand me. Her angels love her dearly (that includes me) and she has become family to us. Besides adoring her, we are so very proud of her and it's important to show her how much we care about her. And, you know what? She cares about us, too. As you're finding out, love is a two way street and it's beautiful. So, you can see Nate, it's much more than her beautiful voice with all her soulful tones. It's also about who she is as a person and how kind, caring and loving she is. We need to understand she's a teenage girl and that's a load to deal with. A lot of experimenting is going on and decisions are being made which require a lot of thought and, it's life. Right? One thing you spoke about I totally disagree with is when you looked into your crystal ball and suspected that Angelina will get more reckless with the kind of songs she sings in the future. Never happen. Repeat, never happen. You are assuming she will be influenced heavily by what she will be surrounded by and that it will change her. Nope. To the contrary, she will change those people to come around to her way of thinking and feeling about things. Like you said, she can sing the phone book and it would be beautiful. She doesn't need to conform to what she things the public wants to hear. She will be way beyond that. We will listen to what she wants to sing and love it because she is singing 'for us' . Yes, to us but for us, as well. To say she is extraordinary is the understatement of the Century! Nate, one thing most of us understand is, yes, she is recruiting (if I can use that word) new listeners by singing particular songs right now. But, once they begin to enjoy her she automatically introduces them to music from yesteryear and the music she loves to create and they will come aboard hook, line and sinker. Hi Nate. It's been a while. God knows, I don't have the stomach to be a reactor. Why? I would be tearing us under. This singer should have done this, the sound sucks or I just don't like a particular song. This year, Angelina seemed to pick every song I never liked and sang it. It's like being reprimanded by Sister Remilda, my third-grade teacher, but Angelina's mouthing the words. She makes screaming YOU"RE NOBODY! sound so beautiful. First off Nate, l shared some of the same feelings when she began the heavy use of tiktok and her filters, then l quickly got over it with an understanding of her focus and strategy. ( She had always been in it for the long game.) Anyway as to the reference to innocence where Angelina is concerned, justiposed to her worldly song interpretations...lMO, l think we may confuse innocence with purity. She is definitely not naive. She is maturing with a clean heart. We are used to seeing maturity with contaminated cynicism. When we see purity in a child it seems natural ( Aka/ Angelina in her youth), but when we see it in a teen or even more so in an adult l think it translates as YOUTH in our awareness. In this world that makes her a unicorn. A very beautiful UNICORN! I'm sure you've watched this, but watch it again in light of this observation, " You Make Me Feel So Young", this says it all !

I've read that "Yesterday" is the most covered song in history. When I heard Angelina's cover the first time I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. I listened again without preconceived expectations and loved it. Growing up we all bobbed our heads and sang along with The Beatles...it was a catchy tune. AJ's version is the first one that makes me feel the sadness of the lyrics. She sings the song in the way the lyrics were written, as is usually the case with her. You might want to give it a listen.
