The live version from the Nobel Peace Prize concert is just as amazing. Check it out as one of your re-listens. It Happened Quiet. Through the Eyes of a Child - the Vevo live performance. God is a Woman .... the list goes on and on.... The Seed. Love this girl

The song is based on a true story. Aurora wrote the song after reading the newspaper about an incident near her home country. A man killed his wife / girlfriend so she wouldn't have to suffer anymore. She was seriously ill and tortured every day. Is a sad love story. Aurora tells the story from the ghost's perspective, letting her husband know that she is not angry with him. Her live performance of this song at the Nobel Peace Prize concert is even better and more intense. At the same time her best performance of this song. Just a guitar, she and her accompaniment.

Hi Nate. A real tear jerker. Aurora's voice is BEAUTIFUL , soft and powerful. She reminds me of another great artist in Björk, singers who can just sing the phonebook and we wouldn't mind. There's a great live version of this song out there. Get to enjoy that at least once. Cheers!

this one is simply the difficulties we face to protect the ones we love. there are many scenarios. Soft Universe, It Happened Quiet or Through the Eyes of a Child live at Nidarosdomen would be great choices for your next. thx!!

Aurora's music is healing. It's common for people to tear/cry when they start listening to Aurora. This song is best sung live at the Nobel Peace Prize when Aurora was 19 years old.

Aurora has such a power to move you with her lyrics and expressiveness. She is truly unique in all her being and I really think she will give you a lot. The Nidarosdomen Concert is stunning and for yourself you should watch Murder song from the 2015 Nobel Concert. In addition to her already amazing catalogue she does many really nice covers, like Bowie's Life on Mars, either from Nidarosdomen or from Trygdekontoret, where she plays the electric piano herself. Have a nice journey.

Really nice reaction! You need to check out the live version of this song at the Nobel Peace Prize, it’s amazing and super emotional. Aurora is almost always even better live. Suggestion for the next reaction: Lucky live at Nidarosdomen.

Aurora is just one of those special artists that communicates so much through sound and visuals. I watch so many reactions to her music, but I always end up just as fascinated with her again. She is a reminder to take the path less travelled. Enjoy

She’s young, but she’s not just right out of the chute; she’s phenome, also savant, already had music in her head when at six she discovered the piano, and that she could get it out through her fingers and hear it outside her body, and at 8 she realized she could add words to her songs, and realized consciously even then that it was important to tell stories with her music. Runaway, BTW (and others you’ll hear if keep seeing her out) she wrote at age 11, and again, you need to seek out her live performance of Runaway at the Nobel Peace Prize concert (this song too) at age 19.

I noticed that 2 of the 3 reactions you've done for Aurora have been her music videos when her real power and essence shines through in her live performances. Aurora totally embodies her music and can really only be witnessed live. Her live performance of Churchyard kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pLB8qKppyJeVd58.html is a great example of this.

Thnx Nate! The same w me, don't listen to the words of a song first, but the field of(emotions of) the song before I go into mind and interprets and analyse. This is such a profound song, energetically wise, and EXACTLY, it's like a movie... one of those dramatic film noir. It's been a very carthasic and healing for me... released a whole 'nother level of bottled up emotions. AURORA said she wrote this after reading the 1990 novel Murder song by Jon Cleary. She also told it's a sad sad love song.... the song is done, and so am I, and here I go........ kinda reaction. Someone's mentioned the NPP concert live version, absolutely worth listening to, and even making another reaction to... ;)

Aurora has a passion for and a connection with moths, hence their appearance in this video. If you look through a range of Aurora's songs and performances, you will witness a range of performance styles and emotions and also an evolution in her persona ( from innocent child around 2015 with "Runaway", to social warrior with "Seed" and "Queendom", to more seasoned performer and purveyor of great life advice with "Daydreamer" and more recently, coy seductress with "Exist For Love"). I can't think of any other modern artist who matches her range of charismatic performance styles and who can tear your heart apart one minute ("Murder Song") then have you up and dancing the next ("Conqueror" and "Daydreamer"). She is as bright and marvelous as the northern lights for which she is named.

Thank you for this reaction, Nate. Aurora never sings inconsequential songs. All of them have meaning. She is a prolific songwriter and most of her performances are of her originals. Take yourself over to three of my favourites, and you will understand what I mean: "Through the eyes of a child" - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eayqeNuGs5eyaH0.html "The seed" - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qcpmmKRi0rPPmn0.html "Exist for love" - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bb90ntV7xs-noqs.html

I figured listening to this song a few times would man me up and I'd become de-sensitized to it... I've listened to it with way too many reactors to count and it still cuts just as hard as the first time... Today's pop artists can't even come close to scratching raw emotion like this girl can in the simplest way...

You've listened to one of her better songs (this one), and a couple others that are take or leave. Let me suggest 3 other ones that will absolutely blow you away because they are much like this one, deep, emotional, thought provoking, clear messages and feeding her strengths as a performer. 1) Through the Eyes of a Child (the stripped version): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eayqeNuGs5eyaH0.html 2) Lucky, (from the Nidarosdomen concert): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d9OEnNSDl8W6cas.html 3) The Seed (official version): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lbOTkrJ-mtWycWw.html These are the three songs in these three particular versions will stick with you forever.

She rips you open and heals you at the same time. She's as vulnerable as finely spun glass and as strong as high carbon steel. A siren in the form of a Viking wood nymph with a surgical blade, hunting for you to let your emotions out. Resistance is futile.

Can I recommend Through The Eyes of a Child by Aurora? Either her live Nidaorsdomen performance or the live Stripped VEVO UK version. Either way I guarantee you will not have dry eyes. And it’s simply a MUST to watch her live. Adds a whole other dimension. Really enjoyed your reaction to this song BTW. ☺️

This is an earlier song by AURORA. She continues to develop as an incredible singer/songwriter. Please react to some of her more recent work. For an AURORA music video, I recommend her iconic environmental anthem "The Seed!" And I strongly recommend reactions to her live performances, for instance, her highly energetic KEXP performance in Iceland, where she sings "Churchyard" and "All is Soft Inside”; as well as the Nidarosdomen Concert (in a cathedral with orchestral ensemble and choir), particularly the songs "It Happened Quiet," "Through the Eyes of a Child," "Little Boy in the Grass" and "Lucky." ; or the HAIK 2019 concert she held in a forest: "Infections of a Different Kind," "The Seed," “Daydreamer” and others; and most recently, the Bergen Philharmonic concert where she sings “Soulless Creatures” live for the first time! These are just a few suggestions -- at age 24, she already has quite an impressive repertoire.

I highly recommend "Aurora - It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current)", and her cover: "AURORA covers Massive Attack 'Teardrop' for Like A Version". Also the 2015 Nobel Peach Prize Concert is amazing, she is so very young and innocent. You already covered the 2 songs Runaway and Murder Song, but I just recommend you see those 2 for yourself at least. The 3rd song from that Concert you could react to, it is also a cover: "AURORA - HALF THE WORLD AWAY - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert"

I disagree. This is for me the most powerful version of this song. Her alone, all black and white and her expression in this version is overpowering the Nobel Peace Price by a mile. Thats my opinion.
