As mentioned in other comments, I would absolutely recommend the two of you listen to her newest rendition of "My Funny Valentine", she did an mesmerizing, stunning version of that song at 10 years ago sitting in a chair, no microphone and just sang her heart out to all. The color and all the images in the video reflected the mood and the gadgets that were being used during that era when this song was written, sung and released. This was done I believe deliberately to reflect those nostalgic times of yesterday past to invoke us to remember the memories of our yesterdays.

I agree that the FEMININE in Angelina's singing/artistry is a major part of who she is. Her music connects her soul to us. I react to her soul as love; love of others, love of the world, and an essential love of herself.

I see the shopping cart in this way, when you are a kid and little and you're sitting in a cart, and your mom is pushing you around in a store you have no troubles, now she is older and life is a little more complicated, and she big sitting a cart reminiscing about yesterday, and how all her troubles seem so far away, that's my impression of the store and the shopping cart set-up.

My wife and I are planning our first real trip in over two years this July - a pilgrimage to Norway for a week or so timed to attend AJ's July 10 concert. Hi Nate and Shannon, Angelina is scheduled to give three concerts in Norway this July. Although my original intention was to wait until she starts her concerts in the US, being 72 yr old I decided not to wait and bought two tickets for my wife and I. Anyway, it is also a good excuse to see Norway which I understand id very beautiful, like our young princess. I believe other devoted fans from the US and Europe will also be there so I am looking forward to meeting them as well. Angelina is booked for 3 concerts in Norway in July. The first is in Kongsberg on the 7th with two other performers and the second is in Sandefjord on the 10th. All of the things you mention about Angelinas effect on your moods and heart while she sings, I and many others report to experience as well. She is definitely something completely different to other singers nowadays. Not that there isn't many other great singers today as well, but Angelina Jordan is, to me, in a whole nother league. A different game one might say. The way she convey emotion and seams to sing right to the listeners heart is unique and a gift to experience. You say you would be willing to travel to Australia to go to an Angelina consert. I don't know of any in Australia coming up any time soon. Nor in the US. But I am certain there will be a few both in Australia and the US and many other countries in the future. She is booked for a few concerts in Norway this summer though. Two in Sandefjord, (1.5 hours trainride from Oslo) but they are both sold out as far as I know. They are due Joly 01 and July 10th.You could get tickets for the Kongsberg jazz festival July 07th this summer though. Kongsberg is located about two houers train ride southwest of Oslo. I guess she will feature in a few more places in Norway this summer as well. But these two locations are happening for sure. Norway is closer to North America then Australia is. I am very happy that she too becomes part of this beautiful community of angels, perhaps a part of us will be able to meet for the first time at Angelina's July concerts and it is nice to feel part of such a close-knit community, thanks to the emotions that Angelina transmits us with her voice. It's amazing how Angelina always manages to change the flavor of the songs she reinterprets, she gives a whole new life and flavor to each song, she is simply unique. The slow, raw voice of that girl curled up in the shopping cart makes the lyrics much more understandable and emotional in this song. This is a very well articulated reaction. IMO, the monotone color of the visual setting in contrast to Angelina’s wardrobe directs our eyes on her. I also would like to say that seeing the expressions on your faces were the definition of the old adage, “A picture is worth a thousand words”. Watching how every artfully crafted note, syllable, vocal inflection and embellishment was affecting your emotions spoke volumes. Your summations of what this performance meant to you only certified what your listeners had concluded via the visual response on your faces.
