I tried one of possible solutions, how unicycle can go and turn. ESP32, MPU6050, Nidec 24H motors, LiPo 1000 mAh battery.

Seems James Bruton is actually working on something similar - often referencing your material!

Excellent work! Maybe you can make a tutorial on how to make it. For example, how to use LQR to control it.😄

It takes a long time to create a tutorial video. Maybe later...

This is awesome and creative. I am still thinking about the possibility to steer the unicycle without using 2 BLDC motors. Anyway, this is great.

Yes, this is only one of possible solutions.

@@ReMRC I don't know lot about mechanical engineering but I Have a nive solution. Don't know it will work or not. How about using concept of handlebar we have in regular bicycle.? You can control it from an app.

Could both be stacked on each other and kind of make a self balancing humanoid?

My congratulation for your great design. As you have already mentioned, the reaction wheel disturbs the drive in a straight line. You could possibly apply two gyros, with horizontal axles of rotation, vertical control axles and both rotating in opposite directions.
@ReMRC2 жыл бұрын
To drive straight I tried to use a third gyroscope (two for balancing). It helps a lot.
@falkgerbig77872 жыл бұрын
I think two gyros are fine to stabilize roll axis. A reaction wheel with a vertical rotation axis could eliminate the second half drive wheel with own second motor. Than only one drive wheel would be sufficient to steer in all wished directions.

@@falkgerbig7787 No, I can't confirm that. This is a theoretical thought or did you see working robot?
@falkgerbig77872 жыл бұрын
No any example known yet, that is only a theoretical analysis by my own. In a further step, the very best solution for steering should be another pair of gyros, now both with vertical rotation axis and controlling the direction of drive by a difference of there angle acceleration. So not any prezession effects should disturb any movement. This concept looks not like, but in principle is very similar to helicopter drones with two pairs of propellers, each propelled with an own motor. I would like to build this by my self by opportunity.

Can you please make a video on how to make a self balancing bike on a pcb board using nodemcu wifi module please please please?

Bike with ESP32 controller? Maybe someday I'll try.
