Ryszard Riedel is the legend. As a teeneger I was listening Dżem band all the time. Everything is perfect in this music, vocal, amaizing lead guitar of Jerzy Styczyński and beautiful lyrics written by R.Riedel. Unfortunatelly heroin addiction killed him but Dżem band still exist and play gigs around the Poland. Few weeks ago Ryszard's soon Sebastian Riedel joined Dżem band as a lead vocalist.

Vocalist - Ryszard Riedel died 30.07.1994 - reason: drugs...He was the best polish vocalist.... RIP.

Drugs ......... it was heroin with shitty quality in Poland 80' and 90' it was call "kompot" it was juice from poopy seed flowers green parts, dryed then and cookd on the spoon with little amount of water and this mix go throught the veins

teraz już na pewno żywy.... świetna muza, wiecznie w naszych sercach ale Rysiek był po prostu ćpunem niezdolnym do tworzenia na trzeźwo więc nie wiem po co się podniecać skoro nawet nie kontrolował swojego życia......żałuję tego ale cóż, bolesna prawda jest taka, że to nie on śpiewał tylko narkotyki, bo bez nich Rysiek juz nie potrafił kompletnie nic.....wiem, nie tylko on tak miał, ale to żadne usprawiedliwienie....

A legendary band. They're still around. They continued playing with a new vocalist and believe it or not, they announced this year (2024), that the late Ryszard Riedel's son will be their new singer! I'm so curious how he'll do.

Film fajny, ale jest to film fabularny, nie jest dokumentalny, wypowiadali się o nim członkowie rodziny, jak i zespołu. Lepsze, są Sen o Victorii i Sie macie ludzie. Taka uwaga. Dobrego dnia czytającym 😊

Bro if you'd really like to know something more about this guy, cause he's a Polish Blues Legend for us - try watching "Skazany na Bluesa" movie. Whole thing is about his life and addiction to heroine. I don't know if you can find English subtitles, but this movie is worth of watching.

U doing a great job, what I wish to add is lyrics to everyone understand what it is about. And maybe something about band history .That song was real life , the singer had a big drug problem he was trying to fight with but he lost. Anyway it is a great movie about this guy and the band is called ( Skazany na bluesa )Condemned to the blues

I don't know if you know during this this performance he was so drunk and so stoned, it is good he remembered the text of his song. In my opinion this was the best vocal in Poland from X years, but he was also the best known heroin and other addictions addict. God bless his soul, but take care of young artists to avoid this shit.
