Realistic wild mushroom polymer clay fairy house with light tutorial.

I didn't want this to be another fantasy mushroom house tutorial. I modeled it after a wild mushroom and shaded to create depth to give a more realistic and less cartoony feel. The mushroom cap opens to add a tea light or fairy lights. Diy craft tutorial and painting instruction to help create more realistic projects. I would love to see any creative pictures if you follow this tutorial or if you just use some tips to enhance your own creations.

neal simpson Thank you. I am using only acrylics in this video. I do use oil paint sometimes on an acrylic base for some of my other projects.

What kind if seal is best?

For a harder protective gloss I use Resin or a simple Krylon gloss spray ( wipe it down with a little alcohol first so you don’t have any oil on the sculpture before spraying) or for a matte finish I like Mr. Super clear.

@@ashleyanderson3900 I have been using the Puduo epoxy resin. I do use a brush to apply. But you'll have to toss the brush after using it, so don't use a good one.
