Knights armament & American defense make a panning swivel qd adapter that replaces 1/3 of the harris bipod. You unscrew the cradle and all the stuff on top of the bipod, toss it in the trash and slide the new piece in. It cost under $80 and the bipod is lighter than before. It replaces all the guts for a small qd panning swivel mount. I got one and love it.

THANK YOU. I'm new to bipods and wanted to learn about mounting options ... many vids later, I didn't learn until this one.

That’s a beautiful rifle. I’m almost finished with a similar 6mm cr build. Xlr chassis bighorn action 28” barrel with area419 MB. I’m at desert marksman almost every weekend maybe I’ll get to check that thing out someday.Fyi we usually get to desert marksman at 5:45am on the weekends which usually gives about a hour from the 1000yd pad then we move to the main pad. Keep up the good videos Enjoy them a lot there’s not a lot of 6 mm Creedmore videos out there yet.

Great review and explanation. I'm a new owner of an MPA chassis and was looking for a way to utilize the machined rail but still use my Harris across multiple rifles. The HC pro looks like the ticket but it's a real bummer that you lose the leaf springs. I've never operated the Harris without those springs. Do you see this as a deal breaker for a PRS shooter? I'll need to get into position and level my rifle as quickly as possible and with the standard bipod stud mount using the leaf springs and the proper tension on the swivel nut, I don't have to touch the bipod. Do you think I'll lose this ability after removing the leaf springs? I want to make sure I'm not having to constantly adjust tension on the swivel nut. Thanks!!!

It is possible you might be able to just tighten the bipod swivel nut to provide enough friction so you can tilt and shoot without touching the bipod. But it probably won't have the same feel as with the springs. Have you shot off an Atlas PSR before? That will be similar probably.

I haven't shot off an Atlas yet but I know they're quite popular among PRS shooters. I might have to just give this a try

Not the bipod, but the RRS adapter, you want the wing nut on the left side for a right hand shooter.
@ocabj
@ocabj 3 жыл бұрын
The lever? It all depends on what side of the gun you want it on. RRS clamps are keyed on the bottom so it can go in either direction. For awhile I was running levers on the right side, knobs on the left.
@ocabj
@ocabj 3 жыл бұрын
@@cpage305 I'm referring to the lever on the clamp and the knob on the clamp. Again, it's all personal preference. Doesn't have to be on the left side for a right handed shooter. I do run the knobs on clamps on the left, and it depends on how I feel about the lever on which side I want to run it on. Tripod clamps I run left. Bipod I may run it left or right depending on the lever style.
@ocabj
@ocabj 3 жыл бұрын
And yes, I understand the knob is on the right side in this video. But this is 4 years ago.
@cpage305
@cpage305 3 жыл бұрын
@@ocabj preference does not equal ergonomic superiority. Its on the left side of a right hand shooter so you can adjust the toe to bipod length on the fly with little to no breaking of shooting position. "Preference" is a terrible excuse for ergonomic inferiority. I prefer to hit my mag release with my toe. That doesn't make correct. I didn't know this post is 4 years old sorry.
