William Shatner is the boss! We had a chance to meet him at Pop Expo in Ottawa. My 72 year old mother had just had rotator cuff surgery a few days before, but she was determined to meet him, so we did. She was in obvious pain, but he was very kind to her and spoke with her at length. Four years later, we had a chance to meet him at Fan Expo in Toronto. When we were about to get a picture taken, he stood up, called my mother by her first name, and thanked her for coming to see him again. We noticed a camper with a guy sleeping in it in the far corner of the parking lot near a bar. We spent the night waking him up throwing rocks on his roof. I love William Shatner! In 1975 or 76, a friend & I went to a Star Trek convention for the sole purpose of meeting him. We were seniors in high school. It was rumored he would be there, so we took a chance & bought tickets. They said he'd never been to one of the Star Trek conventions before (& I don't think he ever went again). We got there so early we were able to get 2nd row seats. He was so personable yet so 'regular', just a very endearing man, just as he is today!! It was a gorgeous day in Manhattan & he was genuinely puzzled as to why we were inside- indoors, at this convention. He said, "I don't understand!! It's a beautiful day!! Go back outside, go for a walk!" It was so sincere & innocent. He was just amazing to see! The convention was over & we headed back to Brooklyn, a dream come true-- having met William Shatner! You have just got to love that Man...anyone that goes to a small town, and uses Hollywood influence to get pampered because "they are gonna make a movie in town, but you are making a documentary about it" is such a brilliant concept that he gets my vote as BRILLIANT!!! God love William Shatner.

If AI ever tries to take over, Bill Shatner will just do what Capt Kirk always did, talk it into self-destructing.

Single parent here, I’ve been grocery shopping on for more than half my life here, trust me when I say inflation especially the cost of rent and groceries is bad. We’re not talking about it enough. And I’m not making much more than I used to…..

Inflation is just another form of taxation on the middle and lower classes. It doesn’t affect the rich
@lindam96182 ай бұрын
It's not inflation. It's 100% corporate greed.

Its not inflation when grocery chains profits are through the roof, while inflation has gone down, prices have not.

related to this, I heard Noam Chomsky say minimum wage would be $40/hour (inflation adjusted) if it'd kept up with 1970's trends... another source article: "Minimum Wage Would Be $44 Today If It Had Kept Pace With Wall Street Bonuses Since 1985"

@@ytubeanon yet another way the rich keep the poor impoverished: give them just enough to keep them complacent, but still enslaved.
