Great review! I've had the Tenlog version for a couple of months and just came across this review, and I still learned a few new things. I really wish I'd seen this before putting mine together, but this definitely pointed out a few things I can do to improve my printer. Thanks!

This i the most thorough 3D Printer, hell... Product review period!!!... I've EVER seen on KZfaq! Please keep up the great work! Hey, can y'all do a review of the Anet E-16 vs Crealty 10 versions, including their hardware compatibilities / incompatibilities, and upgradability. I feel it really hasn't been given proper attention in regards to the DIY 3D community. There's a lot out there about the Anet E8 and other crap, but not much about the E-16, and how easy it is to upgrade to genuine Crealty 10 parts, as well as what quality parts are already being included by Anet, and Crealty is JUST starting to include in their products.

Lol, I feel like your video was watched by the printer's manufacturer. I just received my tenlog printer today and in the box i found 2 trays with brushes attached for the hotend cleaning just like you proposed in 22:26 Also, awesome channel. My first printer was a tevo tarantula pro and I assembled it using your instructions. This tenlog is my second printer and here I am relying on you again. Thank you!

Seeing your prints made me remember about this problem in my TEVO Tornado. When too long on rest, the first prints come out with layer lines, like bumps of extra material between layers. I found out the cause was the open builds type wheels, the "plastic" gains some form due to its constant compression against the aluminum V slot profile, especially if left too long on the same position. Running the Z axis up and down several times after a long period of inactivity seems to help.
@ruiraptor
@ruiraptor 4 жыл бұрын
Hi, you are correct about the wheels grip. If the eccentric nuts are turn too much the wheels will have too much grip and will develop notches when stopped for a while. We explain in this video exactly how to avoid that. In this printer, that is not the issue and we don't have issues with layer lines.

Actually Tenlog seems to develop constantly on this printer. As for now it is delivered with 2208 drivers (solving the artifacts on the benchy and make printing less noisy) and filament runout sensors. Also titan-style extruders can be optional used (seperatly available upgrade from Tenlog), so motors less heavy and less ringing. Also price got incredibly low: I live in Germany and AliExpress sells the Tenlog TL-D3 Pro for about 410€ including shipping from a European warehouse (so no tax to be added). I ordered it some days ago, should arrive about end of next week. I will check if the problem with self lowering z on steppers powered off still exist. If it does, I simply will change the leadscrews to a lead of 2mm with POM nut and correct zsteps. This solved simular problems on other printers quite well. Your video already shows a great printer. With TMC and Titan-style Extruder it is even better - maybe an update for this video would be nice. In this size (310 by 310) normaly the Sidewinder X1 is most popular printer with direct extruder. But only with one extruder. The Tenlog with IDEX is only about 60€ more, and an IDEX. Also as heatbed of the X1 is uneven heated (without aluminum bed heat is not well spread) the Tenlog also is supperior there. So altogether I would see no real competitor to the Tenlog if you want a direct drive with 310 by 310 heatbed even for single drive use. So it seems a great printer even for beginners. They can simply ignore it is IDEX and use only one extruder while beeing beginners and do all calibration stuff later. Is the pinout of P1 and P2 cable identical? If a beginner uses the printer for single material only, he might even simply swap P2 and P1 if he need to order replacement parts (for exemple a new nozzle if he has serious clogging) and can continue printing until replacement part arrives...

@oleurgast730 3 жыл бұрын
I have to correct: The version I actually got for 410€ was without the Titan. It had to be bought seperatly ;-( But I found an other way to get rid of the heavy motors: Trianglelab on AliExpress offers a stepper motor with integrated gear 3:1 ( a.aliexpress.com/_AqDtCn ); I have ordered two of them (and might order some more in next sale, as it seems a cheap way to upgrade.

mine prints usually takes 30+ hours and i never needed power out resume function. is pointless because it introduce structural weakness in parts. actual power outages are not common in any developed countryes - and if they are scheduling maintenance (once in 5 years usualy) they inform you waaay ahaead of time... this printer is unusable for completly different reason. it is not enclosed so every biger part will be warped an because of stupid construction Y axis gets progresively heavier until the motor skips step and ruin yor print.

Not a firmware issue. The ooze is normal and it's like the ooze you get when turning the printer on and heating up the nozzle.
