Spot on Austin! Felt the same way. Lowest moments for me (spoilers) - Evil nazi killing the doctor who just saved him - Kora’s lacklustre reaction to finding out he was alive - Slow mo farming - farmers perfect aim at first attempt - tarzan’s mum killing herself with him (grown adult) just watching and crying - Kora finding time for a haircut when she already has short hair - a guy jumping on the plane to fight evil nazi - the depressed samurai whole plot and how she died - Tarzan fighting with knifes in a “gun” battle and no protective suit of any kind - Kora’s hesitation on the enemy ship when placing bombs and anything else, why?? - scene on the bridge where lasers were shot back and forth miraculously not hitting anyone - the reindeer king robot fighting all of the sudden just because - Kora’s unconvinced reaction in the end when her lover dies - they way they left the story open for more films, saving people we don’t care about because we don’t know anything about the glowing princess Can’t think of anything I liked…

i've tried to defend ZS for his movies he's done in the past but this is just bad. so bad. I can't believe I sat through 30mins of harvesting then more harvesting while giving back story THEN followed by everyone's back story which we're all suppose to feel and care about (which I didn't) then dramatic slow motion action sequences. part 1 and part 2 shows how ZS needs a strong script (or someone to oversee him before it goes into production). I feel for Djimon Hounsou - he's a great actor; been in the industry for YEARS and still he hasn't had that breakthrough role.

I think this pretty much proves Zack is hack. His most iconic films are pre-existing IPS, that were written by someone else. Yes, all his films are stylish and incredible looking, but he could focus on directing instead of being a one man crew on those films. All his original films have been complete disasters. If netflix does green light a part 3 and thats a big IF, they need to reign him in, get him a writer, a proper producer and get him a cinematographer. So he can focus on directing.

@@Kenny870Dune 2 was bad. Spectacular, but baaaad. Then again, I'm a huge fan of the books. The changes were horrible. The message got so twisted. And I fear a surge of sympathy towards islamic extremists after this. It is basically a glorification of jihad. Awful in all aspects except visual.

My biggest complaint with part one was that we didn’t know anything about any of the characters (except for Kora who I didn’t care about). They gave us a smidgen of all of their backstories and I cared less. I didn’t feel anything for any of the deaths. The writing was still poor, but this time with acting to match. So overall part 2 was much worse and I will not hold out hope for a third movie to right the ship. Sidebar: I still can’t wrap my head around them having 5 days to prepare for this attack and this little girl took that time to do arts and crafts (which would’ve taken so much more time).

100# 😂😂😂 and it was meaningful embroidery when she was not in the room where they told their back stories. I thought maybe she had those made before and came up with crappy explanations: e.g. you are a mountain because… you’re tall. The samurai lady didn’t like hers… maybe she could tell it wasn’t made for her… also can’t understand why she drew a circle on the floor everytime… “would that not blunt those swords” then I stopped thinking… which is hard… too many silly decisions

I think that if rebel moon parts 1 and 2 were combined and the farming segment in part 2 wasn’t too long than I think it would’ve worked out better. Plus in part one, the segment of recruiting fighters felt a bit rushed and that part was where there was the most flaws but I think that before and after that was fairly well.

An R Rating does not make a better movie. Snyder has already gone on record saying it's just more profanity, sex and violence that was left out. There's no emotional core to these films. It's soulless and people are wise to it.

The prolonged battle in the second half makes this movie much better than the first one. Some truly spectacular action scenes in Zack Snyder's trademark style. The acting by everyone was also improved. Boutella surprised me with the intensity of some of her scenes and convinced me of her value as an actress. I just wish this film had a better script. So much wasted time in it's first half, so much clunky exposition, so many wasted characters... Being what it is, I'll give it a 5.5/10.

I might get old, but "pure action that looks good" doesn't do it for me anymore. Especially if it's void of logic and with insanely stupid decision-making, coincidences and pure luck. And this movie is packed with that kind of action, even in super-slow-motion (so you can see the stupidity of it all even better). It hurt's my head and my eyes.

Do we really care about a fraudulent rotten tomatoes site this day and age. Rebel Moon was ok, it was good, I personally enjoyed it throughout. I think there are moments in the first half that i really liked and was emotional, the writing is not as bad as people trying make it, even with it's faults, i do have nitpicks. It's not a bad movie. I personally disagree with few things you said, but i always respect your opinion because your a honest reviewer .

This movie was so bad it skipped to the part at the end where the robot takes out the whole army, including the tank. That was the best part of the whole entire movie and that was less than five minutes.

The Action Choreo is awful in both parts 1 and 2 ...so slow and no impact like posing posing posing to look cool.. enemies in the background doing nothing just waiting to strike.....how can anyone even say the action was good is beyond me

If they managed to introduce Neagley early, within a story where she wasn't supposed to be, and still made it good, they should have continued this way for each other member, progressing through stories like One Shot. Only after like 5 season, once we knew every surviving member, including the one whose murder sets off the S2 story, should we get this, so that we actually care about all of them. Would be a great send-off. This way, we didn't get Reacher, but Reacher's Five. Or Six? I don't remember, and that's the point. Certainly wasn't Eleven, but sure felt that way.

Both Rebel Moon films are massively over-hated! The problem is that Zack Snyder is such an easy target for some people to ridicule. It doesn’t matter what Snyder does, he will always get savaged and criticised by a large number of people! That’s the problem here. If this was directed by anyone else, I can almost guarantee that it wouldn’t be as hated.

Also, people who are so smart that they do not always need a political message and a philosophy dump in every piece of entertainment. Very smart people hate Dune 2 for example, because it twisted the message of the book. It now acts as a boost for the political strife against Israel, and a supporting advertisement for islamic extremists all over the world. It's no coincidence that its release in this simplified jihad-glorifying state aligns with the recent unrest in Gaza. I, for one, want to stop thinking for a few moments a day, so that my 143 IQ brain can get some rest. Nothing like Rebel Moon, Sucker Punch, or non-Snyder films like Pandorum, to achieve that. But hey, maybe I truly am missing a chromosome... That of stupidity.

Part 2 was such a letdown. Their talked about "budget" was spent way too unbalanced... making it feel like watching different networks/interpretations: sy-fy, hbo, c-span & spike tv. Was not expecting to feel the characters to become more hollow... wow. But there were a few good moments where some life shown through. But the worst for me was the writing... mind-numbingly annoying at times. With a rewrite and larger budget, it could have been so much better, i think.

In Rebel Moon this is how heroes are made and spoiler alert - it is not through comedy. Part 2 is a great addition to my favorite sci-fi blockbuster movies. I thought the first act was slow but was needed for the characters to assemble before the epic nonstop high octane action sequences started.

Snyder is like a better Michael Bay. They both are extremely good visual filmakers, but they arent really storytellers. Snyder definitely has some good films, but he only really shines as a cinematographer, and granted he is better than Michael Bay

Completely disagree. At least Bay has Transformers 1 and 3, and Bad Boys 1 and 2. All 4 are movies I enjoy very much. I like Man of Steel and Snyder Cut, but not even close to those 4. And I don’t like any other Snyder movie, tho I’ve yet to see Watchmen and 300

Another thing that nobody is pointing out is that all the main characters are fucking terrible people. It makes it real hard to root for them! I know this is supposed to be their redemption arc by saving this grain and these people, but they still are awful. Gunner is the worst.
