After sourcing all the parts I need I'm finally able to re-assemble my GasGas EC350 engine and get it back in the bike. It turns out drooping your bike in a river is expensive!

An engine is such a complex piece of machinery....blows my mind how people can come up with such wizardry

Man just want to tell you congratulations for the incredible work you did with your motor. And atm since I was considering to buy a brand new 350 4T I am actually wondering to go for a new 2T just because of the simplicity of the motor in cases like this. 1330AUD because you did everything, otherwise a job like that much probably would scale for something like 3000AUD. I love 4T but this issues are a big deal to be considered. Thank you for sharing and for the great videos you make.

Great video, $1330 is a pretty good price for a full engine rebuild 👍 I did a top end on my 300 tpi last year, including rebuilding the power valve and that cost me near $700.

Was $700 just for the parts? Or labour included? I rebuilt the top end on a friends 2019 300exc the other day, including rebuilding the power valve, I’m not sure how much the kit from TSP was, but I think it only took us 3-4hours. Most of that time was cleaning & scrubbing the carbon off the power valve. Not sure how much he paid for the kit but $700 sounds like a lot for the o-rings, gaskets & piston

That was just parts, I did the work myself, it was a full piston kit, inc gaskets, etc, bolts washers' for the top plate, gaskets for the PV, and Orings, bushes for the PV rebuild. Came to between $600-700 all in. Welcome to Australia, the land of getting ripped off. @@jackkellybuilds

Great job building your engine, you are lucky to have those skills, saved yourself a lot of money, plus you know its right, good job!

Thank you! It is nice being able to do it myself, but it comes from necessity, otherwise I would not be able to afford a mechanic to rebuild it for me haha

You are welcome Jack, having bikes you really do learn some valuable skills, both my sons rode and both can do all their own maintenance as well as their cars. I was really interested in your RMX video, I have owned 2 , great bike (for their time)

Where did you purchase the metal oil pump gears from? Great step by step assembly.
@jackkellybuilds6 ай бұрын
From my ktm dealer, they’re just the gears from the 2023 model, I have a video on my channel about it with the part numbers

@@jackkellybuilds I believe the oilpump gears on the left side are also available in steel. You didnt do those on purpose?
@jackkellybuilds2 ай бұрын
@@nivero5038 the other oil pump gears don’t have a history of failure like the one I replaced as far as I’m aware
