I spent 4 1/2 months in hospital recovering from Covid. I had to learn to walk again. I've been home for 3 months and I still don't have my stamina back. Therapy has helped, but doing daily tasks have been hard. It has been a slow recovery, but I'm gonna get "me" back again!!

I worked 65 hours in a week while infected. I had nightmares about work for 4 days while i was resting. I honestly didnt think i was coming back. It was hell........ My wife had vitamins that saved my life i truly believe. Zink vit c and d and elderberry. I was 1-2 days away from going to the hospital with no insurance 😫. I would suggest eating vitamins every day. My wife was wwy better off than me because i wasn't keeping up on vitamins like she was. I honestly thought i might die. I bought a finger oxygen meter for 12.00 on Amazon that helped with peace of mind. I would throw up my zink vitamins everytime i would try and eat them. Im still a little foggy headed but feel way better. Be safe all

This was before long Covid was really discovered, luckily there are a few clinical studies. It causes inflammation in every organ system, watch for things going wrong outside of your respiratory system, like nerve damage, tinnitus (my ENT pointed out she's seeing this in many of her Covid survivors), pins and needles, heart problems, pancreas issues, joint and muscle pain like arthritis 😔

Wow I just got over covid. 1 week ago tested negative I didn’t get fever but I did get body aches that sometimes I only slept a couple hours which I think made things worst. I feel weak from my legs and just tired like wanting to go to sleep. Even my eyes feel heavy. This is the same thing that happened to me in February 2020. When supposedly covid wasn’t around. Took me months to feel better mentally and physically.

Interesting video. You explained the topic of post covid recovery well. Nutrition plays a key role in boosting the immune system post covid recovery and help deal with the after symptoms like weakness, memory loss and muscle pains.
@jessicah3450
@jessicah3450 3 жыл бұрын
Having Covid-19 seriously depletes all of your nutrients as your body's trying to fight it off. It takes everything you've got. I ended up low in vitamin D (I supplemented before, trolls), calcium, iron, protein, B-12, sodium. CRP is still very high, so inflammation is high. The albuterol use depleted my potassium. I was on oral steroids then IV dexamethasone, which helped immensely, but also depleted nutrients. Yes, nutrition is vital. I had it in August, and despite heavy supplementation now that my appetite is back, it's still a struggle. Started Creon and their A,D,E, K supplement again because my pancreas became inflamed. My ENT is noticing many of her Covid survivors have tinnitus. At least my hair has stopped falling out now. It's a long recovery for many of us.

@@jessicah3450 Thank you for sharing this. Covid recovery is hard on our body and the total recovery time is different for everyone. While one solution doesn't work for all, including certain nutrition dense foods can help support your immune system in the recovery process. I wish you a speedy recovery. Take Care.

@@jessicah3450hi. Make sure you check n see if you need to take vitamins separate example calcium may block other vitamins so take it alone n for example zinc depletes copper n there are other vitamins that do the same. N k helps with absorption of others as well.

Maybe make a wedge with some pillows so she can sit up a bit to eat or sip broth or nutritional drinks through a bendy straw? I got a wedge pillow. I could walk, but the amount of exhaustion cannot be explained. It takes a lot of time. I had to hold myself up on everything, the bannister, walls, lean on the shower wall, lean on the bathroom counter to brush my teeth. The most simple activities were very very exhausting, made me so dizzy, made my headache pound, and get extremely out of breath or trigger another suffocating coughing fit. Make sure she sits on the edge of the bed, then stands very slowly when she's ready. She may have numbness in her feet and legs and trouble balancing, because Covid can damage the nerves. Be patient with her.

I wanted ask if you could do some videos on COVID...namely nutrition, fatigue, recovery, etc. I tested positive back on 09 July. I was fine the first 2-3 days but the it hit me like a brick. about 5 days after that I spent 2 days in the hospital and received 2 bags of Remdesivir (among the ringers I received as well). Problem is this, my natural air O2 is over 90 but my pulse is over 100. This is scary. Why is this happening? What can I do about it? I have been told I may fall into the long hauler category. Other than not being able to exercise because I don't want to over exert my heart, food and water tastes funny - depending on the food or beverage - and I have to sleep in a propped up position to be comfortable. I also have developed an insatiable appetite for savory carbohydrates. For example, I have been waking 2-4 times in the night to go to the bathroom - and all I can think of is a big bowl of spaghetti? Why is this? I also get full too quick like I am getting bloated regardless of the amount of food I eat. My face has broken out and my hair hasn't been the same. Its extra dull now. In addition, my mother seems to be a long hauler and has been in the hospital twice with very low levels of potassium (and diarrhea). I am sure you will get alot of views on any future COVID videos you make...Lord knows I am not the only one that feels this way.

It can take months, some studies are saying 1/3 of survivors get long Covid. Take it slow. Watch when you get vaccinated, since we've already met the virus, we usually get a bit more intense reaction to the shot. Still, the shot's not as bad as Covid was and we know we never want to go through that again.

@@zakariabou I’m not quite there but I’m trying. The other day I went to the emergency room due to leg pain. I didn’t want to take it slow. I tried to walk really fast because I want my strength back but instead it just hurts. I think I have some kind of nerve issues because when I put my feet down it shakes. I still have issues but I see improvement.
