This cover is so pretty!! And I love how you walk us through each phase of making these journals because it can be very overwhelming and so watching you make the journal and then choosing papers for each signature and then decorating it is super helpful! Thank you!!

I found some small paper lunch bags in my pantry and they have a wonderful crinkly sound. I am going to make some small paper bag journals with them. You have really inspired me. I have some tubes of Metallic Gouache Acrylic paints I want to try using on them. I love that the tea dyed and painted splotches are part of the decoration in the journal. So beautiful. Thanks for showing us the process.

I wet my tea dyed paper and then ball it up (almost squeezing all the water out). Then I re dip it in the tea and while it is in the water I open the paper to avoid tearing. Getting the paper as back to flat as I can in the tea water. Then pull it out and let it dry on plastic bags (or other sheets of paper) to get more patterning (or cardboard for no patterning). This is best if you mass making tea dyed sheets.

Lovely journal! 💕 Loving that you leave a lot of those beautiful papers as they are! I have recently started to experiment with watercolour when dying papers and I get some really cool effects and it’s super fun to do, especially when including my metallic watercolours! ✨

Love this journal and the pink and gold metalic paints added, but I think when the paper is so crumpled, it gets way too stuffed, fragile, and hard to write on. I think embossing the pages would look nicer, and add less bulk.
